Mistiness

@Gingerandtango Hello, I'm wofully inactive, how are you? <3

Mistiness

@ella7777 I always fan back if the person seems nice and besides, you have excelent taste in writing. Its ok! The poem fits so well into Howl that I think anyone could be forgiven for thinking it was origenal :). I know, I love the imagery which allows my inner feminist to put up with the message of the poem.

You fanned me back! You didn't have to do that but thank you :) I didn't know it was a real poem and now I found out it was actually pretty famous! haha! I feel so silly now :D And yes, the meaning made me raise an eyebrow but the words were just so lyrical I can't help but like it, too. :)

Mistiness

@ella7777 I know! :), its a real poem alright, one of my favourites in fact. So when it started to come up in Howl's Moving Castle I had a minny fan attack along the lines of "OMG, I know those words!".
The full poem is here: http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem/173383 (Its actually a bit sexist when you look at its deeper meaning, but I just like focussing on the language)
Thank you for the fan by the way, you're awesome! :)

GO and catch a falling star, Get with child a mandrake root, Tell me where all past years are, Or who cleft the devil's foot, Teach me to hear mermaids singing, Or to keep off envy's stinging, And find What wind Serves to advance an honest mind.-John Donne, Song

waaaahhh! Howl's moving castle! :) I didn't know it was actually a poem, I thought it was just a poem in Howl's universe!
