@elveloy That's something new! Perhaps it's like a surprise I just read about. The article I read was about the spacesuit that the first man from Soviet Union on the moon wore. It was said he was supposed to be the first man to do the space walk now America's astronaut, Neil Armstrong. However, the Soviet union 's spacesuit had a problem and their man had to quickly get back on the ship or he would not be able to breathe. So, that's sort of a surprise right there! Guess being the first to get out of a rocket is risky! And that's probably how NASA learned to better equip an astronaut's suit .

Steampunk Assassin has made it to the ONC Longlist! However some of my favourites are missing *sigh
Worth remembering that the judges are human (yay!) and have their own likes and dislikes. And chances are, only 2 or 3 people were involved in the judging process, especially with such large numbers this year!
Just because a story doesn't make the list, doesn't mean other people won't enjoy reading it :)
