The blurry vision of the ward was what sent a sharp pain to her sight.
She tried opening her eyes, trying to get a clearer vision for minutes. Her chest really hurts especially the lower part of her stomach.
The placed her hand on it and rubbing it gently. Trying to picture what had happened last.
Just then, she felt a hand holding her's.
“OMG! She’s alive!” A nurse quietly exclaimed from a corner of the ward.
Humaira's heartbeat was exaggerated for a while.
'One moment am happy, the next am not. I thought the day I left the prison was the best day of my life. I thought all of my troubles and worries have finally come to an end… but no, it still followed me. Is my life going to get any better?' Humaira though as she turn in so much pain and bitterness.
She tried to sit up but an unbearable pain stroked her down.
‘For how long have I been here?’ She thought within herself thinking of what happened last…and what’ll happen next.
In a minute, the nurse came in with a doctor. The doctor walked to her and checked her pulse and her temperature level.
"She's better now. There's a drastic improvement."
"Where's her file?" The doctor asked as the nurse handed it to him immediately. He went through a couple of pages and scribbled something on it.
"Tell the lady that brought her in to see me immediately in my office." He rolled his eyes at the nurse before leaving.
"How long have I been here?" Humaira managed to say.
"It's the third day today." She doctor walked towards her and smiled.
"Who brought me here?" Humaira muttered again.
"One young lady... I guess she's your guardian angel because she literally saved your life. She's been waiting in the reception room. Just lay back, I'll be back in a minute." She held the file on her arm and smiled a bit before going out.

In the doctor's office, a tall sexy girl in mini gown walked in.
"Good morning, doctor." She greeted.
"Good morning my dear, sit down." He offered.
"How's the young lady sir? Hope she's regained consiuosness?"
"Yes... Of course. She's better now but..."
"But what doctor?"
"There might a bit of complicated later, that, I'm not sure of because from the autopsy we carried on her... She was poisoned by dangerous chemical that contains acidic substances." The doctor sounded so soft and sympathetic.
"Oh God!" She cried. "What about her baby?"
"The mother is fine... I'm sure but the child. It's a 50- 50% chance of survival."
"What should I do now sir? Can I talk to her at least?"
"Yes, but there's something important I need to tell you."
The girl that helped Humaira looked so worried about the whole stuff.
"She need proper care and affection. She's reached her trimester already and she's going through a lot. She's malnourished and stressed... From that we have here, she's lacking the major nutrients that a pregnant woman is supposed to have. I'll suggest to take care of her properly."
