chapter 8: You knew

24 hours after the last chapter

Ahsoka's pov
I woke up later in a hospital room. I sat up and immediately laid back down. My head is pounding. Did I have to much to drink last night or something? No I didn't drink at all... I think? Actually come to think of it all of last night was a bit blurry. I remember dancing with Lux, me running in the dark, a young boy in madalorion armour, Ventress and Bane appeared, then it went black again. My vision was starting to clear up and first I saw 3 faces but they were still unclear. After a moment of blinking I was able to see Anakin was the face closest to me, then Rex and Lux next to him. LUX!!! I remember now, the kiss, and the way we were so rudely interupted by Rex. REX!!! What if he saw us, what if he told Padme wjo told Anakin? Hopefully they were too busy to notice anything.

"Breath easy Commander. It's alright."

"Sky guy. Why do I get the feeling I've missed something?" They all chuckled.

"Not much snips don't worry. Cad Bane is dead and Boba Fett is good, or well. Boba Fett isn't evil anymore at least. All thanks too you."

"Really what did I do?"

"Well for starters you gave the orders for Captain Rex to save our butts." I looked over at Rex with a beaming face.

"It was nothing. A captain is only as good as their commander." I giggled when Anakin gave him a look.

"A- and their General. Sorry sir."

"It's alright only because it's true. You were the hero snips, you still are one. You convinced Boba to set us free, you freed Obi-Wan after he was already freed and saved Padme and Lux lives by ordering him to stay."

"What happened to Aurra and Ventress?"

"They both escaped. But they made no casualties."

"Well that's good." Anakin's mood just went from caring loving father type to an overjoyed 5 year old.

"Soooooo... how was your night with Lux before all that stuff?"

"It was decent I suppose." Anakin scoffed and Lux blushed a bit. Rex kept a straight face looking back at all of us in the middle.

"Really, because when I saw you both you were dancing happily in each others arms." How do I get out of this one. Ah ha, .Ightfield bulb moment.

"Come now sky guy, we both know that was strictly to keep cover nothing more." Rex looked at his feet so did Lux while Anakin gave me a cocky grin.

"Mhm, I'm sure. Rex?" Oh no.

"Yes sir?" Oh no!

"Did you see anything that looked Luxsoka last night?" OH NO!!! Wait a minute. He's hesitating, he never hesitates.

"N-no sir."

"Are you sure?"

"Y-yes sir I am sure." Somethings fishy, but then again why on Coruscant would Rex lie.

"Okay then, but don't count out Luxsoka yet. We've still got one month and two weeks to go." I rolled my eyes at him. He really is a 5 year old in an adults body. It's annoyingly hilarious.

"Whatever Master, where is Padme and Obi-Wan? They are okay right?"

"Oh yes their fine. They stopped by earlier wanting to see you but I told them you weren't ready yet." I nodded to him and looked at Lux who was sad. I hope he didn't really buy what I was saying about the mission and stuff. What happened last night wasn't classy As okay who was Padme's plus one undercover. It was regular me, just me and he made me feel like that was okay. I felt at peace. No stop it your a jedi! Well guess what weird voice in my head, if Anakin can keep a secret this long then I can too!
