Anakin's pov
The door to the council chambers opened. I walked in with a stern gaze. I looked over the different council members. Most of them had neutral expressions, a few including Obi-Wan and Master Yoda had a soft smile but one person stood out. Master Mace Window was glaring at me. If looks could kill I wouldn't be able to think this because I'd already be dead and well- you get where I'm going with this.

"Greetings Knight Skywalker." Well gees that's a punch to the ego. I quickly recovered and wore a smug smile.

"Hello there, General Windu." I glanced at Obi-Wan hoping he'd get the reference. Clearly he did since he was rolling his eyes and now scowling.

"Reason for coming here, do you?" Master Yoda asked dme in his old croaky backwards voice.

"Yes Masters. I have doe before you today as I proud master, suggesting one small thing." I stared at Window as I said the word 'master'. His expression was priceless! I looked at Master Yoda who was nothing but curious.

"And what would that be Anakin?" My old master asked. I sighed.

"I suggest you promote my padawan Ahsoka Tano to a knight." I heard a few gasps around the room. Chatter among just about everyone emerged. But I could clearly sense the proud and happy vibes radiating off of Plo Koon and Obi-Wan. I put my hands up and tried to calm everyone down.

"I don't know about this Skywalker. I remember many instances where Padawan Tano had problems following orders and we suffered the consequences. Remember the battle of Felucia?" Master Windu asked but without really asking. I sighed as the council hummed silently agreeing with Windu. Ugh! Out of all times the council chooses to be smart why now?

"She was 14! Kids make mistakes. Kriff, I still make mistakes and I'm a grown man!... kind of. Anyways the point is everybody makes mistakes, but we learn from them. Tell me this Master Windu, has Ahsoka gotten into any trouble since the battle of Felucia?"

"Well not officailly but-"

"Mhm. And if I recall correctly didn't you punish her with guard duty because you wanted her to take a break, then two hours later she's fighting a crazed maniac, and winning at that! Then she helped me stop the dark lord of the sith from kidnap our children all while being a child herself! Now she's even more grown up and responsible then me honestly. And I know deep in my heart, Ahsoka deserves this more then any of you realize. Master Windu, anymore concerns?" He was glaring daggers at me. But everyone else seemed content with my little speech. But there was still Master Windu to deal with. I know he can influence a lot of opinions here.

"Yes, actually. Just because time has passed doesn't mean she has completely changed. I doubt she follows every order she's given. What if all she is on the battlefield as a knight is a burden?" Alright now I'm starting to get a little ticked off. I was about to respond but then someone else beat me to it. He stood up and walked over to the center of the room with me.

"With all due respect Master Windu, good soldiers follow orders. But we jedi are no soldiers, you've said it yourself many times. And when Ahsoka is a knight of the jedi order, which she will be, she'll have others following her orders. She is a strong leader and a grown woman who can take care of herself on the battlefront. She has come a long way thanks to Master Skywalker's training and I trust her completely as a knight, and General." The other member of the council nodded as if simultaneously agreeing with each other.

"Reached a decision, the council has. A knight, Ahsoka Tano will become. No trials, shall be required." I looked over to the man who just saved mine and Ahsoka's skin. I looked over to Plo Koon and whispered a quick thank you.

"Thank you Masters. I'll go tell her the good news now." They all nodded. Plo went back to his seat but Obi-Wan followed me to the door.

"You did good today Anakin."
