chapter 6: In a 'friendly' way

Lux's pov
Is it just me or did Ahsoka's eyes get bluer over the week. And her beautiful markings on her face seemed shinier. It's been a week since Aurra was captured and not a moment has passed by me and Ahsoka weren't together. We always would pass by Aurra's cell before we both went to bed, sticking our tongues out at her and acting like 5 year olds. Although, today was the last day she would be sleeping in my room. She insisted that she returns to her own sleeping quarters since the threat has been resolved. We were walking in silence to her room. We decided to skip our trip to Aurra's prison cell.

"May I help you unpack?" I offered to her. She looked hesitant to reply.

"Sure but just a little warning, I haven't been in there in about two weeks, in other words I haven't cleaned my room in about two weeks and..." She opened the door to her room and I dropped my jaw. She giggled and flopped her suitcase on to her unmade bed.

"Don't judge me okay. I didn't have time to clean cause I was busy saving your life!"

"No judgement hear Ahsoka." I looked around her room. She was right. This room looked miniature compared to mine. How does a senator have better living conditions then a jedi, I don't know. She laid on her back and I sat at the foot of her bed wondering how and when she got so beautiful. She gasped briefly and started to laugh.

"What. what's so funny?"

"You."

Ahsoka's pov
"What's so funny about me?" He asked. He's so clueless sometimes.

"I got bored. And when I'm bored I tend to read people's thoughts and... " I trailed off looking at his face waiting for realization to kick in. There it is. The ghostly expression of his made me laugh every time I saw it.

"It's alright Lux. Really it is. What type of person is going to complain about being called beautiful as long as you mean it in a friendly way... right?" He hesitated. I don't like hesitation.

"Y- yeah of course." Phew, good. I could try to search his thoughts again to tell if he's lying, but I trust him. I got up and opened my suitcase. Oh- it's best if Lux doesn't see all this. My skimpy night clothes, underwear and bra's.

"So I can take it from here. I'll see you tomorrow morning in the briefing room."

"Yeah. Tomorrow." Lux walked out of the room looking fairly sad. I'm sure he was just tired. I sensed someone coming.

"COME IN." I yelled. Rex walked in my door so I quickly closed my suitcase. He had his helmet off and looked at me firmly.

"How did you- nevermind. Commander we have a problem."

"What is it Rex?" He looked uneasy.

"Mr. Bonteri might want to see this too." Yesh, this was serious. Rex called him Mr. Bonteri. And not 'my little boyfriend', which he was still doing by the way.

"Alright well go get him, but Rex what is it."

"I- it's best if you see for yourself commander." I nodded and slipped my Feb boots back on and walked out with Rex towards Mr. Bonteri.

Still Ahsoka's pov
After we got Mr. Bonteri Rex led us toward the prison block. Rex continued to lead us down a specific hall way, Aurra's room was it the end of it. I have a real bad feeling about this. We turned the corner and we all gasped at the sight. Just when we think it's over, this happens. Mr. Bonteri and Rex stayed back but I wasted no time to run up to the scene. Aurra Sing escaped. The door was open. And worst of all one trooper laid on the ground dead. It was a bloody scene. The trooper had at least 10 blaster shots through his gut and one to the head. Almost all of his internal organs were bleeding out and his right ear was severed from his head. I'll admit it- I cried a bit okay. It's because whoever killed this trooper... enjoyed it. The trooper died probably after the second or third shot, yet the trooper had multiple shots lacing through his whole hody, mostly his chest and stomach.
