Like Master, Like Padawan

chapter 2: the meeting

Once Anakin and Ahsoka were at the main senate building Anakin excused himself and told Ahsoka he will meet her up at the jedi temple, and to go on without him. She shrugged.

"yes master, of coarse master." But she had other plans then just meeting him there. She knew Anakin was hiding something and she was going to find out what. She walked down the long hallway and turned the corner. She waited a minute for Anikin to go the other way. Then she leaned out and saw her master head towards the Senate quarters, the place where all the senators who lived here slept. She followed him from far behind, he knocked on senator Amidala's door. When she answered Ahsoka was confused, she had never heard anyone call him Ani before. She couldn't see much because Padme invited him in. She snuck in before Anikin shut the door with the force. Ahsoka knew he cared for Padme but nothing could have prepared her for what she saw just then. Anakin pulled her into him, and kissed her. KISSED HER! Ahsoka had seen all she needed to see to know that Anakin and Padme at least liked each other, even though attachments were forbidden in a jedi's life. She cracked open the door and left, heading for the jedi temple.

After reaching the temple, Ahsoka sat quietly waiting for Anakin. When he finally showed up she said nothing to him.

"What's the matter snips, you okay" he asked his padawan. Again, she never responded, she only opened the doors to see the jet council, and all of their serious faces, except for Obi -Wan's welcoming smile.

"Here things young Skywalker, I have heard you and your apprentice know about your mission to protect the senators. It may be more difficult then previously thought, due to Mr. Bonteri just leaving the separatists he is a main target on their elimination list. And it seems like Miss. Amidala is always in danger for some reason. Your assignments are waiting for you downstairs in the senate. You are to join them in their pods and keep an eye out for trouble. Senator Amidala is alone in hers and Lux Bonteri is with his mother in his pod. Do you to understand and except these missions?" Finished master Windu.

"Yes me and my padawan except and will head down there right away." Ahsoka really wanted to tell the council about Anakin's attachment but she was afraid they would kick him out of the order. So she didn't say anything about it to them, she only nodded and walked away with her master.

"And in conclusion, our children don't just want new, and better schools, they need them" Padme finished saying. She sat down on the seat behind her, and was met with a pleasant surprise. "Hello beautiful, room for one more?"asked Anakin. She scooched over and and pated the seat next to her. "Not here in the open, master Skywalker" argued Padme. "Alright alright fine, then consider me only a jedi knight... who just happens to loves you very much". Padme gave him a beautiful smile as he moved away from her to look like 'just friends'.

Ahsoka located BLEH!!! Lux's pod number and jumped into it, she almost barfed saying his name. Instead of finding the weird, stuck up boy she did not like, she found a nice lady who stepped toward her.

"Hello there, you must be the jedi knight sent to protect my son. We are honored in your presence miss...".

"Ahsoka Tano, but you can call me Ahsoka if you'd like" she said to the surprisingly nice lady who was apperently Lux's mother. She took a seat next to his mother's with a smiling face, but her smile quickly turned into a frown when she saw who was speaking. Lux Bonteri stood in front of her, she rolled her eyes as he was giving a speech about respecting each others. That boy had no bounds.

"Umm, excuse me dear, but I couldn't help but notice your not the biggest fan of my son. Would you care to tell me why." the lady said to Ahsoka.

"Well it seems actually a couple of why's not just one. You see I first met him a couple months ago when we ran into each other, literally. I had apoligized but he never offered me a hand to get up. And when we both stood up and I apologised again thinking he didn't hear me. But really he was just ignoring me and when he looked up at me and he just... froze. And when he stopped staring he said I should be more careful where I'm walking. Some apoligy!"

His mother knew what this was. She had seen it happen with Steela before, but his mother must admit Ahsoka was quite more beautiful. "You must forgive him it was no offense towards you its just this... thing... well I should probably let him tell you. Just please don't be to hard on him." his mother told the pretty togruta girl in front of her. Ahsoka nodded but deep down, she did take it personally, she didn't become a jedi to be disrespected. The whole reason she wanted to be a jedi was because she looked up to them, and if she was a jedi she thought people would look up to her. Her thought was interpret by the end of the young senators speech. He walked over closing his eyes, with his chin held high, like any other snooty senator. He looked about Ahsoka's age, just a bit taller, dark brown hair combed back neatly, and wearing a dark blue tunic and pants. When he sat down and opened his eyes he was startled by the beautiful jedi next to him. He immediately scooted over almost falling off the seat.

"Hello Mr. Boneri, I'm Ahsoka Tano your jedi knight security." He just sat there trying to comprehend what just happened. He struggled to think of what to say.

"Uh hello Miss Tano I'm L-Lux Bonteri senator of Onderon. It's a pleasure to make your aquaintness I have-" Ahsoka cut him off in mid sentance.

"I'm here for protection not entertainment" spat Ahsoka. The last thing she wanted to do was listen to him, brag, or boast, or even talk.

"Understood, Miss Tano" he said as he sighed. It was going to be a long day.
