Chapter 27

Writer's POV.....

Manik and Aru went to the office. Parking the car Manik and Aru went in his cabin without even looking at the employees who stood up and wished them.

David came inside the cabin and wished them.

Manik: Aru aap apne room me jao.

Aru went to his room which is made for him beside Manik's cabin.

Manik: David where is he??

David: He might be coming.....

They heard a knock on the door.

Manik: Come in.

David: We were waiting for you only. Come.

A man of around mid 50's came in. Manik went near him and shook hand.

Manik: Doctor please do something. It's been almost 5 years he is not speaking anything. You are the only hope left.

Doctor: Mr. Malhotra I'm trying my best. But it seems he only don't want to become alright.

Manik: I know doctor. Actually he misses his..mother a..lot.

It's been 5 years but still now whenever he talks about Nandini all the incident comes in front of his eyes.

David: Come with me. I'll take you to him.

Doctor nodded and left with him. Manik sat on his place again being lost but this time in his thought not only Nandini but also Ikshu was present. He smiled remembering Ikshu.

After completing the given task Nandini went in search of David.

She was walking through the corridor when she saw the cabin of the boss of the company.

She wanted to meet him as he have done a lot for her and her daughter. She peaked in the cabin and saw a man sitting on the chair. His back was facing her. She was about to knock the door when she heard David's calling her.

She turned and saw him standing little far. She left from there and went near him. While leaving her hand touched the door which caused little sound. As she left Manik looked at the door but found it empty. He chucked it.

Nandini went near David and said that whatever work he had given her is finished.

David: Okay then you can go home now.

Nandini: What!! But why?? I mean it's been only 2 hours I came. And now.....

David: Nandini time doesn't matter at all. You are very talented. I saw it. The work which I gave you was very tuff. But you completed it within 2 hours.

And moreover you have Ikshu. So go home and look after her. She is very small and she needs you in every minute of her life. Give her time.

Nandini's eyes became moist seeing the care he have for her.

Nandini: Ok. I'll leave now.

David smiled and patted her head just like a big brother.

Aru was inside the room where David and Nandini were talking. Hearing someone talking he came out of the room. But by then Nandini had left. Aru saw the retreating figure of her.

He went inside the room and headed towards the window. The outside of the office can be seen from there. He was staring outside when suddenly he saw a familiar figure. She was standing for some vehicle. As she turned he saw her face and he was stunned. World turned upside down for him. Automatically a shout left from his mouth.

Aru: Mummaaaaaaaaaaa

He lost his balance and felt on the floor being unconscious.

Manik was in his cabin when David came in with the doctor.

Manik: Yes doctor. Any improvement??

Doctor: Sorry to say Mr. Malhotra but there is no improvement. I'm sorry but I don't think he will ever get his voice back.

Before Manik could react he heard the sound which he was craving to hear from years. They heard Aru's shout.

Manik was the first one to run and come to the next room where Aru was present. But as he entered he was shocked seeing Aru lying on the floor being unconscious.

He went near him and patted his cheek taking him in his arms.

Manik: Aru baccha get up. Kya hua aapko?? Get up Aru.

Doctor: Manik I think you should take him home. He needs some rest.

Manik nodded in approval and took Aru home as Aru was more important to him and David is there to handle everything in the office.
