Chapter 16

Writer's POV.....

After the family reunion Manik discharged Nyonika from the hospital and they left for Malhotra Mansion.

It was 5 in the morning. Here in the Malhotra Mansion Cabir was sleeping in Aru's room on the couch which was big enough for him. He was in deep sleep. But Aru was sweating. He was mumbling something. He was having some bad dreams. Suddenly he woke up with a jerk shouting 'mumma'. Cabir also woke up due to his shout. He went near Aru and tried to hold him but he jerked his hands and sat holding his knees near his chest.

Cabir: Kya hua Aru?? Dekho main tumhara Cabir chachu. Aao mere pass.

Again he tried to hold him but this time he got down from the bed and ran outside of his room followed by a tensed Cabir.

Aru went to his parents room. As he entered he saw the room empty. This scared him more. He started finding them in the whole mansion. Cabir forcefully took him in his arms and hugged him tightly. He struggled to come out of his grip but at last he gave up and hugged him more tightly. Cabir tried a lot to speak with him but he kept hugging him keeping his face in his neck.

MaNan with elder Malhotra's came home. They were having a satisfying smile but soon it turned to worried seeing Aru in that state. He was still crying in Cabir's arm.MaNan rushed towards them.

Nandini: Aru....

Hearing his mumma's voice he looked at her and in seconds he jumped on Nandini. She stumbled with the sudden force but Manik held both of them tightly. Nandini hugged Aru. Feeling his mumma's warmth he started crying more. They tried a lot to talk to him but he kept crying.

Manik: Nandini tum ise room me le jao.

She nodded and took him in their room. Manik turned to Cabir.

Manik: Yaar really sorry. Humare vajah se tujhe itni taklif....

Cabir: Saale agar ek aur bar tu aise mere saath formal banega na to main tere ghar kabhi nahi aunga. Aru mera bhi beta hain. Agar Abeer ko kabhi kuch hota hain to kya tu worried nahi hota??

Manik: Accha baba okay. Nahi bolunga.

They laughed and hugged each other. Elder Malhotra's smiled seeing them. They went to their room.

MaNan's bedroom

Nandini was trying to talk with Aru but he was continuously crying.

Nandini: Aru please stop crying. Kuch to batao hua kya hain. Why are you crying??

Meanwhile Manik came inside and sat beside them.

Manik: Baby kya baat hain?? Tabiyat kharab lag rahi hain kya?? Main doctor ko call karun??

To which Aru nodded negatively.

Nandini: To aap batao kya baat hain.

She made him look at her and wiped his tears.

Aru: Mumma aap....mujhe chod..ke nahi kaoge....na?? Main nahi..reh paunga mumma.

Nandini: Baby mumma aap ko chod ke kyun jaegi?? Main aapke bina reh paungi kya??

Aru: Aap kaha gae the mumma papa?? Pata hain maine..aaj ek....bad dream..dekha.  Aap mujhe....chod ke..chale gaye. Mumma please don't leave me.

Saying this he again hugged her tightly. MaNan worriedly looked at each other.

Nandini: Baby main kahi nahi jaa rahi hu. Dekho meri taraf.

She made him look at her and wiped his tears.

Nandini: Aap aur papa. Aap dono mere sab kuch ho. Aur ab chotu baby bhi. Aap sab life ho meri. Main apne lofe ko chorke kahi jaa sakti hu kya?? Aur waise bhi it was a bad dream right?? Bad dreams kabhi sach nahi hote.

Manik: Nandini tumhe pata hain yeh Aru na cry baby ban gaya hain. Kab se bass roye hi ja raha hain.

Listening to his papa he pouted and looked at his mumma with a complaining look. Nandini smiled seeing them. She then looked at Manik with a fake angry face.

Nandini: Manik don't you dare to call my baby as cry baby. Hain na Aru?? Ab aap hume apka smiling face dikhao so that papa can't call you cry baby any more.

Aru rubbed off his tears hurriedly and gave them his ever so innocent smile for which any cruel heart can melt. MaNan smiled and kissed his cheeks from either sides.

Manik got a call. It was from an unknown number. He excused himself and went to the balcony and received the call.

Phone conversation.....

Manik: Hello.

......................................

Manik: Yes Manik Malhotra speaking.

......................................

Manik: What!! But it's not possible. No we can't. My wife is pregnant and it will be not safe.

......................................

Manik: But.....

......................................

Manik: Okay I'll confirm you in the evening.

He disconnected the call and went inside the room.

In the other side of Mumbai

The same person with hat and cigarette.

Man: You have to do this Manik Malhotra. You have to. And soon you will be on road. I swear that.

He gave and evil smirk and darted the photo of Manik which was in the wall.
