Chapter 30

Writer's POV.....

Nandini looked at Manik breaking the hug. She saw something different in his eyes as if he was not even in his sense. She cupped his face while tears were flowing continuously from her eyes.

Nandini: Kya hua Manik?? Tum aise kyun bol rahe ho?? Dekho main Nandini hu. Tumhari Nandini.

Manik removed her hand from his face and went a little far from her.

Manik: Mujhe pata hain. Tum meri Nandini nahi ho. Tum sirf hallucination ho meri.

Nandini was speechless. She was shocked, she was shattered, she was broken, she forgot how to react. The person whom she got after ages, who used to stay by her side all the time is now going away from her, thinking her as a hallucination. She held the table for support as her legs had betrayed her.

David came to the office rushing. Today he is very happy. Happy for his best friend com brother. He reached there and as he entered Manik's cabin he was shocked. Nandini was crying while Manik was standing like a statue looking at her.

David went near Manik and kept his hand on his shoulder. He looked at him and turned towards him.

Manik: Finally you are here David. I..need your..help. Please call my doctor and inform..him to..come here..fast. I think his..medicines are..not working. I'm again hallucinating Nan..dini. Please David. I don't want to see her in my dreams. It will again disappear.

Manik was continuously blabbering. David looked at Nandini who was even more shocked seeing Manik's condition.

David: Manik look at me....

He made him look at him.

David: You are not hallucinating. This is not even your dream. Nandini is actually here.

Manik looked at Nandini and then again at David.

Manik: David.....

David: Yes Manik. She is Nandini. Your Nandini. She is actually here in front of you. In front of us. She is in real Manik.

David went near Nandini and held her hands.

David: I'm sorry Nandini. I can't identify that you are his Nandini. If I can I would have met you both long back. I'm really very sorry. Please forgive me.

Nandini: Why are you saying sorry?? It happens. But Manik....he is..not....

She broke down more. David took her in a brotherly hug and patted her head.

David: Don't worry. Everything will be fine.

Manik was still looking at them but when David hugged Nandini his expression changed. He went near them with slow steps. Nandini looked at him. Manik with shakey hand touched Nandini's shoulder.

David slowly moved out of the room as he thought they needed privacy.

Manik then touched her head then forehead and dragged his hand downwards touching her eyes followed by nose and stopped coming on her lips.
