Chapter 20

In the morning Nandini freshened up herself and went to the kitchen. In the whole kitchen there was only one packet noodle.

Nandini's POV.....

Ab kya karun main?? Abhi to 2 din baki hain meri salary ke liye. Is noodle ke saath 3 din kaise chalega?? Mera to thik hain. Main bhukhu reh sakti hu. Par Ikshu?? Wo kaise rahegi?? Kyun humesha aap meri test lete ho aiyyappa?? Kyun??

Writer's POV.....

She took the packet and started cooking it. After finishing she went to the room to wake up Ikshu who was sleeping peacefully.

She creased her hairs lovingly.

Nandini's POV.....

Agar aap mujhme nahi hote to pata nahi aaj main zinda bhi hota ya nahi. Aapke papa aur bhai se shayad aiyyappa kuch zyada hi pyaar karte hain. Isiliye to un dono ko apne pass bula liya unhone.

Par main shayad bohot buri mumma hu baby. Ab aap ka school jane ka time ho gaya hain. Par main aap ko nahi bhej sakti. Aap ko bahar bhi nahi le ja sakti hu. Mere pass to khane ke liye bhi paisa nahi hain to aap ki studies kaise chalau?? Aur aap ka bahar nikalna safe nahi hain. Agar wo log dekh lenge to shayad aapko bhi mujhse chin lenge. I'm sorry baby. Ho sake to maaf kar dena mumma ko.

Writer's POV.....

Ikshu stirred in sleep and hugged Nandini by her waist. She smiled and kissed her forehead.

Nandini: Ikshu wake up. Subha ho gai hain. Ab mumma ki to kaam pe bhi jana hain na?? Get up baccha.

Ikshu looked at her with sleepy eyes and again hid herself on her mumma's tummy.

This incident reminded her of Aru as Ikshu is just like him. This brought tears in her eyes. She rubbed off her tears and with a lot of efforts she woke her up and made her eat the noodles.

Nandini: Baby mumma jaldi aa jaegi okay?? Aap good girl banke rehna.

Ikshu: Okay mumma. Bye bye.

Nandini: Bya baccha. Take care.

She locked the door from outside and left for the cafe where she works as a waiter.

On the other side Ikshu was playing with her toys and talking with them.

Ikshu: Tumhe pata hain mumma ne na aaj bhi breakfast nahi kiya. Wo mujhe batati nahi hain par mujhe pata hain. Wo aise hi karti hain.
            Agar mere papa humare saath hote to wo aise kabhi nahi hone dete. Aap kaha ho papa?? Mumma aapko bohot miss karte hain. Aur Ikshu bhi bohot miss karti hain aapko. Aap please humare pass aa jao.

Saying this she started crying bitterly. While crying she fainted.

Here Nandini went to the cafe and started working. After a hectic day she went to the cafe manager.

Cafe Manager: Nandini your working time is over. You can go home now.

Nandini: Sir I need to talk to you.

Manager: About what??

Nandini: Sir actually there are still 3 days to get my salary.

Manager: So??

Nandini: So sir I need some money. It's very urgent. Can you please give me advance??

The Cafe manager gazed at her for some time.

Manager: And why will I do so??

Nandini: Sir please. I need some money. It's very urgent.

He looked at her with lust full eyes.

Manager: Okay but I have a condition.

Saying so he got up and with slow steps he went near her. Nandini got scared. She started going backwards.

Manager: My condition is very simple. It will satisfy both of us.

He said trying to touch her. But she slapped him hard. He held his cheek and looked at her with deadly glare.

Nandini: What do you think of yourself huh?? I'm helpless that doesn't mean you will do anything you want. Such a cheap bastard you are. You know what I don't need your money anymore. Nor even your job. Good bye.

Saying this she stormed out of the cafe while rubbing of her tears.

Manager: I will not leave you. Just wait and watch.

This incident was witnessed by two of the persons who works with Nandini.

Person 1: Poor Nandini. At this age she lost her husband and son.

Person 2: Yeah right. And this manager is truly a bastard. But we don't have other options rather than working here.

Nandini went home and cleared her face before entering. She opened the lock and entered.

Nandini: Ikshu....Ikshu kaha ho aap?? Baby??

Everyday hearing the lock opening sound she used to cone near the door but today she was not there.

Nandini: Ikshu....Ik..

Her words left incomplete seeing the front seen. Ikshu was lying on the floor being unconscious.

Nandini: Ikshuuuuu.....

She rushed near her and took her in her arms.

Nandini: Baby kya hua aapko?? Dekho na mumma ki taraf. Open your eyes baby. Ikshu.....

She rushed towards the hospital with her in her arms.
