"Are these all muhine?" He clapped his little hands together and asked.
"Yes, all of them are yours. What are you gifting your sister?" Amanda held out her hands towards him and he placed his hands in hers.
"What am I giffing her?" He asked, clearly confused.
Two years old Everly looked at her elder brother.
"I bought a chocolate for her, She can eet it." He smiled. Amanda looked towards the camera and raised her eyebrows.
"He definitely takes after me."
Ansel laughed in the background as he was the one holding the camera.
A tear trickled down her cheek and she wiped it away.
Ansel.
Her love.
"Mom! Ethan is hungry and he's crying and he slobbered all over my hair!"
Everly yelled as she climbed down the stairs, Balancing Ethan on her hip.
"Mom!"
She walked towards Amanda and looked at her face.
"Are you crying?" She asked sitting down beside her.
Amanda looked at her and smiled. Her eyes were red.
"Do you miss dad?"
Amanda nodded.
"Mom, Just one more day and then he'll be with us."
"I know. I know. It's not only that, I'm getting really old."
Everly raised her eyebrows.
"At forty-four, you look like you're thirty, and you're saying you're getting old?"
"Look at that," She gestured towards the television screen. "Elijah was three and you were just a baby. And now you're sixteen and he's seventeen."
"You still have a little baby. That means you're young."
Amy looked at Ethan who was just six months old.
She smiled."You're right. I'm just being emotional."
"I love you, Mom." Everly gave her a hug.
"I love you, too."
"And, Ethan is hungry and I really need to take a shower now."
Amanda looked at her daughter. The very splitting image of herself in her younger days.
Green eyes, fair skin, and blonde hair were the only physical trait she had taken from her father was a good height.
Both children had good heights. Ethan was a baby so it was too soon to say anything. Elijah took after Ansel except for his eyes. They were Amanda's. Ethan took after Ansel completely, from head to toe.
But, even though Elijah took after Ansel and Everly took after Amanda from the inside that case was the total opposite.
Elijah was sweet, loving, caring, and sensitive.
Just like Amanda. Minus sweet, as Ansel would say.
Everly was a little careless, always hid her feelings, and never really expressed what she felt. Still, she was a loving and caring person when it came to the people she loved.
Just like Ansel.
It had been a surprise for Amy and Ansel when they found out Amy was pregnant with their second baby. Just six months after the birth of Elijah.
