"I thought you would need some company." He turned at the voice, and there she was.
"How-?"
"Lucky for me, You left the door unlocked. So. Here I am." She sat down beside him and smiled.
He smiled too.
"Thank you."
"For what?" She asked.
"For coming. People just think that it's best to... you know, leave me alone. When I'm feeling low."
"You are welcome."
"I'll guess, You know what's been going on nowadays."
She nodded.
"I'm sorry. I hope your Aunt wakes up soon."
"So, how are you?" He looked at her and asked.
She took a deep breath.
"I'm good. How are you?"
"I feel lost. Scared. Sad."
"We all do, Trust me." She squeezed his hand. Despite the fact that her heart was going crazy.
"So, what's your story?" He asked.
"Believe it or not, I do not have a story." She shrugged.
"Everybody has a story."
"Let's leave our stories. Tell me about your family." She left his hand and looked at him.
"Well, my family is just like any other family." He shrugged.
"How did your parents meet?" She asked.
"Long story short, They were neighbors. Mom was my uncle's babysitter. During that time Mom and Dad kissed, it was mom's first kiss. Mom fell in love with him, my dad didn't. He pretended that he doesn't remember a thing. They showed each other that they hated each other. So... well, Dad then fell in love with Mom. And after some time, they got together, got married, had me, Evie and Ethan."
"That's romantic."
"Yeah, It is. But I don't know half of it. They just told me this and that was it."
"Parents."
"Yeah, parents."
"Will you come to school tomorrow?" She asked.
"Yeah, I will. Of course."
They stayed silent for a while.
"How can you know so much about me, without knowing a thing about me?" He asked.
"What?" She looked genuinely confused.
"You're the first person, who actually gets me, Destiny." He smiled.
"I... I didn't know that." She whispered.
He took her hand in hers and looked into her eyes.
They were blue. A beautiful blue.
He leaned in. And she froze.
What was happening?
His lips found hers. And just like that, they were kissing.
It was like one of those kisses they tell you about in books. With the fireworks and all.
He cupped her face in his hands and pulled her in.
Just an innocent, beautiful kiss. She placed her hands on his chest. She felt awesome.
She felt protected.
She felt alive.
A few seconds later, they pulled away. Her face was red.
"I'm sorry. I just..." He tried to say something.
"Don't be sorry." She told him.
"Did I make things awkward?" He asked.
"Not at all, Elijah." She looked at him.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes."
"Just for the record. Kissing you was the best decision I ever made."
She blushed.
"That was," She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear "My first kiss."
His eyes widened.
"What? You mean to say you've never kissed anybody?"
She nodded.
"I wanted it to be with a special person." She said.
"I ruined it for you." He shook his head.
"That kiss was awesome. I'm glad that it was you." She managed to say.
He looked at her.
"Destiny. I...," He looked down and then up again.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing." He replied, getting up.
She got up too.
He leaned in and kissed her again.
After pulling away, He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
"I've felt like this before. Kissing you, It seems different. In a very, very good way." He cupped her face in his hands and told her.
She blushed.
"Let's get you back to your room."
