She gathered her books and stood up. The next period was Mathematics. Ugh.
"Girl! You look like you just killed someone for fun." She turned at the familiar voice and raised her eyebrows.
"Angie?" The curly-haired beauty engulfed her in a warm hug.
"I thought you were coming next week!" Destiny exclaimed, pulling away.
"My girl needed me, So here I am." Angie shrugged.
"How are you?" Destiny asked, linking her arm with Angie's.
"I'm beautiful. Now tell me everything."
"I will, but first let's get through hell."
"As in Maths?" Angie rolled her eyes.
"Yep. Well, spoiler alert. We kissed."
Angie who was mumbling something about hating maths and school and life stopped and looked at her.
"What the actual fuck?" Her eyes looked as if they would come out of their sockets.
"Yeah." Destiny stopped walking too and smiled shyly.
"Bro. You're blushing. Your face is as red as menstrual blood."
Destiny rolled her eyes.
"Ew. You are gross."
"You love me, bitch." Angie winked at her.
"Let's hurry. or we'll be late." Angie kept on asking her about the kiss.
"Was it slobbery?"
"What did he taste like?"
"How was his breath?"
"Did he touch you elsewhere?"
Destiny opened the classroom door, Glared at her best friend, and entered the room.
After the class. Both girls walked towards the cafeteria, talking about Elijah and Destiny, Destiny and Elijah.
They sat down at their usual table, from where Destiny could see Elijah.
This had been her table for four years.
Elijah Luck had been sitting at the table, in the center of the cafeteria for four years.
He looked exceptionally good today.
With a navy blue button-up shirt and blue jeans.
"Damn, he looks fine." Angie whisper-shouted.
"Angie!"
"Why isn't he looking at you?" She demanded.
"I don't know." Destiny shrugged, looking at Elijah who was busy talking to his best friend, Xavier Evans. His table was crowded with the soccer team and some girls.
"If I were you, I would talk to him. Ask him what the hell that kiss meant."
Destiny took a deep breath.
"Should I just go over and talk to him?" She asked.
"Yes. Tell him you need to talk to him. Because um... that was your first kiss and he is your first ever crush."
"He doesn't know that."
"Well, he should. He can't go around kissing girls and not talking to them the next day. I won't let this happen. So get your ass there and talk to him."
Destiny stood up. Her hands were trembling.
She started walking towards his table. The table of popular people.
