"I just want to taste the frosting, Dess." He whispered and with that, he leaned in and kissed her.

Destiny felt as if all the energy in her body is being drained out. But she felt her hands make their way to his broad chest nonetheless, trying to push him away but she couldn't.

But at last, she gathered every ounce of energy and pushed him away.

"Are you crazy?"

"Dess, look-,"

"Shut up, Han-gyeol. What the fuck is wrong with you?" She took a step away from him, tears threatening to come out of her eyes.

"Destiny, please listen to me." Han-gyeol tried to take her hands in his but she pushed him away.

"Stop it." She whispered.

"Ahem." Destiny looked at the kitchen entrance and her breath hitched.

Han-gyeol looked at her and then turned towards the source of the voice.

"I hope I didn't disturb you, Han-gyeol," Jung said, looking at Han-gyeol with an expressionless face.

Han-gyeol took a step towards his father.

"Hey, Dad." Destiny heard him say in the calmest tone ever.

"I'll go check the cake." She whispered, he nodded without even glancing at her.

"Hello, Destiny." Jung greeted her with a smile on his face and Destiny smiled back.

"Hello, Mr. Seong-Luck."

"It's Mr.Luck." He said and Destiny nodded.

"May I talk to you for a moment, Han-gyeol?" Han nodded and followed his father out.

Destiny turned towards the cake, with trembling hands she picked up the bowl of frosting.

What the hell just happened?

She was scared.

Scared of what might happen next.

"What the fuck were you thinking?" Jung asked, trying to stay as calm as possible.

"You just cursed at me," Han-gyeol stated, innocently.

Jung closed his eyes and then opened them again, Han-gyeol sensed that he was super angry with him.

"Dad, I wasn't thinking straight." He lied.

"Don't lie to me, I know you well enough to tell that you're lying right now."

"God, okay! I like her. I really like her and I just couldn't hold it in any longer!"

"Do you realize that she's your cousin's girlfriend?"

"I know, I messed up. I don't know. I have to get back to her."

"What are you trying to do with your life, first all those girls and now this..,"

"There were no girls, they came to help me with my studies as I was lacking in some areas. That's it. I just wanted to piss you off so I only asked girls for help."

Jung looked at his son in amazement.

Why was he so much like Ansel? He couldn't understand.

"Leave, just go to her."

Han-gyeol rushed to the kitchen to find it empty.

She had left.

"Why are you here all by yourself? I thought I was going to pick you up," Elijah wrapped his arms around her as he found her standing outside his bedroom.

"We need to talk, Elijah." She told him. She held no expressions.

"Sure, come in." He led her inside and she sat down on his bed.

"Come here," She held out her hand to him which he took and sat down beside her.

"Babe, listen... I-," Destiny looked down at her hands and let tears soak her face.

"What is it?" Elijah asked, he was getting a bad feeling about this.

"Elijah, I- we-,"

"What is it, Destiny?" He asked again.

"Han-gyeol kissed me."

Elijah looked at her. He felt as if someone had just shot him.

Not Han-gyeol.

"Elijah please, please just listen to me,"

Destiny looked at him and for the first time in months she couldn't figure out who he really was.

"Leave." He whispered.

"Elijah, it wasn't my fault I swear. I pushed him away, I promise!"

"I need space." He whispered again.

Destiny stood up. She felt as if her life was over.

Everything was over. She could sense it.

Or not.

Who knew?

Three years later:

"Thanks for meeting up with me."

Destiny smiled and looked down at her hands.

"Was he okay with you meeting with me?" He asked.

"Of course, he trusts me enough to let me meet up with you." She replied.

He smiled sadly.

"I hope I would've kept faith in us all those years ago."

"That's okay I'm glad you didn't."

He looked at her, trying to figure her out.

"You've changed." He stated.

She shrugged.

"I have." She agreed.

"How's he doing?" He asked.

"He's doing okay. I'll appreciate it if you meet up with him."

Elijah nodded.

"I will. It's been quite some time since we met."

Destiny nodded in agreement.

"How's the dorm in Harvard?" He asked.

"I don't live there. I live with Han-gyeol, in the apartment that he bought last year." She told him causing his heart to break into tiny little pieces.

Whatever hope was left, seemed to vanish for him as he heard those words.
