Kay's POV
It's been 6 days since Professor Glowniak told me about my luck, I guess I could call it. 6 days since I realized I'm leaving my home. 6 days of nonstop packing. 6 days since I found out I am the soon-to-be manager of Kpop group Super Junior.
Sure, it's SUPER exciting and all, I mean really, I can barely breathe still thinking about it. But I'm scared to just leave everything behind in America. This feeling is almost pulling me back and making me think twice. It's too late to back down now though. My flight leaves tomorrow at 6 a.m. There's no going back.
If you were wondering, yes, I am an ELF. Just maybe not as die hard as Lilly. I've been bragging about it ever since we found out, and it's pretty funny watching her get mad.
--------------------
I looked at the clock hanging up in our, almost just Lilly's living room. K sighed when it read 7:45. In less than 12 hours I'd be flying far away from here.
Lilly sat on the couch looking over the new wardrobe I bought for Korea. Once we realized who I'd be dealing with, we emptied out some of older clothes and left them in my dresser for emergencies. We rushed out to the mall immediately.
Flashback*
-An hour and a half after I read aloud my paperwork-
"Hurry up Kaylin grab your keys! This is an emergency!" Lilly hollered from the door.
I found my keys on the table and scurried to the car. I tossed them to Lilly as she hopped in. As soon as the car was turned on, she slammed the gas and off we went.
"Have you ever thought of professional race car driving?!" I was barely able to say as I clutched onto the door and tightened my seatbelt some more. We zoomed past a speed limit sign that had 45 on it. My hwad turned to her dashboard as I saw her driving at a 55. I'm going to die..
She nodded her head saying no and kept her eyes on the road, luckily. "Well is this so important that we might risk our pockets for a speeding ticket?! Oh wait..WHAT ABOUT OUR LIVES?!"
She gave me a glare as I motioned back to the road.
--------------------
We pulled up to a Macy's, personally a favorite of mine. She yanked me out of the car and continued dragging me across the mall until we came across a new lining of summer dresses on a rack and I got away from her grip.
My eyes were drawn into maybe a thousand different colors and patterns. Mommy told me she'd put $10,000 on a card to purchase anything I needed for the trip. So, it won't hurt anyone to use some of that for another wardrobe.
I walked over to the clearance rack, because honestly any price can have good items. And, my assumption was correct because I saw 3 dresses that were perfect for me!
The first one was a floral print skater dress that went just above my knees and has little sleeves.
The second dress was strapless, fitting and also went above my knees. The color was black with white polka dots.
Lastly, I found just a beautiful plain white one. It had lace on it's quarter length sleeves and torso. This dress did however reach my knees exactly.
I checked the sizes and could probably say I was the happiest girl in that store!
I brought Lilly with me to the dressing rooms so that she could approve my choices. I easily slid each one onto my body and was able to zip them up myself because they were either a low enough back, or the zippers were on the sides.
