Chapter 11: The Calling

Jimin finally found his dream job, it's photography. At first he was skeptical about the job but he was happy he took photography class in high school and college. It wasn't easy finding his true calling but with the help of his friends he was able to rejoice the love he had for taking photo.

It was hard for Jimin to tell his parents that Photography is what he was born to do. It took months of convincing before they finally give in to the fact that he wasn't going to be a dancer. He felt bad for the way he used his parents money they truly did believe he would be the next top dancer in Korea.

Even if they didn't agree with his decision he was going to be a photographer anyway. He wasn't going to let his parents tell him how to live. Talking with Yoongi about his dream was a walk in the park. The older understood him and support him.

Jimin isn't just a photographer. He's a celebrity photographer meaning celebrity hire him to take photos of them at big event, for an album photoshoot, movies photoshoot cover. He's taken many photos for celebrity already and even got to work with big artist from the US not to mention famous kpop idols, actors, models, singers.

Jimin look around his office feeling content with how things have turn out. He was at his office because an artist had contact him about a project they're working on.  He's preparing to have a album photoshoot for the artist.

As he got lost in paperwork that had to be filled a knock came from the other side of the door "Come in" Jimin call out. One of the staff came in bowing her head "Mr park the Hollywood director would like to know if you can fly out this week to take photos of their cast, they want the new film to get as much publicity as possible" She put the folder on his desk.

Jimin look through the folder. A new film was coming out and the director wants him to do  the photoshoots for the film. The problem was that it was in America if he did agree that mean he would have to reschedule the plan he had with the other artist and he would have to fly to America this weekend.

He close the folder having his mind already made up "Call him to let him I won't be able to do it this week. If he's willing to reschedule we can work something out." She bow her head again "I'll get right to it."

Jimin had bunch of angency trying to get in contact with him. At first, things were tough but when HYBE  Corporation reach out to him to do a photoshoot with their new pre-debut group, people couldn't stop asking whose the person capturing the photos behind camera.

He decided to open his own company and hired staffs to help him organize his schedule, edit his photos, take phone calls with people who wanted to work with him, set his meetings and prepare the equipment.

The job isn't easy because he has to travel most of the time since he gets calls from overseas a lot.

Jimin thought he didn't work for the success he's accomplished in past couple months. Yoongi is a famous producer and rapper so everyone wants to have a song produce by him. Jimin felt like it's because people knows he's Yoongi husband that's why they bother working with him. Some artist were so desperate to get close to PD MIN that they use Jimin as an opportunity.

He wanted to quit but after months in the job he realized not every one he works with wants to use him. He tries to avoid working with singers because they'll mostly ask "Where's your husband? "Is there any chance I can speak to him right now?

Yoongi only work with people he genuinely like so the demand to work with him is high. It's impressive how people still wants to work with him even though he's picky.

This job taught jimin that some people going to show real love and some will use you to get to what they want.

I know this chapter seems rush but it's to get to the plot of the story. I didn't want to drag the readers through chapters of him finding his dream job. I thought just mentioning what he now wants to do with his life is enough. I've always planned for him to be a photographer but didn't know the way to execute the idea without it seeming rush.
