꧁THIRD PERSON꧂
Olivia and Zach stood there awkwardly as the group of four approached them. "Zach, why are you hanging out with her?" Corbyn asked, slight disgust in his tone when he mentioned the girl. "She's a friend, that's why." Zach responded, annoyance present in his voice. "Corbyn, baby why would you even ask that?" Samantha spoke up, rolling her eyes playfully at the boy. "Anyways I think she deserves an apology." Zach declared. "For what?" Corbyn questioned. "Look at her wrist. It's fucked because of you." Zach said his voice slightly rising as he stepped closer to the other boy.
While the boys were arguing back and forth, Olivia just stood there awkwardly. "So you're friends with Jasmine?" Samantha asked randomly. "Yes, why?" Olivia questioned. "Just... she thinks she's better than everyone and she's super fake." Samantha responded. "What are we in fifth grade?" Olivia chuckled before remembering Jasmine didn't like Samantha, the girl continued, "If she was fake I would have cut her off by now." Samantha was about to respond before Corbyn's voice had cut them off. "I'm not apologising to some bitch. We're leaving." Corbyn demanded, his hand making its way around Samantha's waist pulling her away. "If anyone's the bitch here it's you." Zach said before walking off the opposite way really quickly, causing Olivia to slightly jog after him.
After a while of silence Zach suggested that they leave the mall and go for a walk around the small town. During the walk Zach and Olivia got to know each other better, both enjoying their time together. While both of them were sitting on a park bench Zachs phone rang. "Just give me a second, it's my mum." he gave the girl a small smile, walking slightly away from the bench. About five minutes went by before the boy returned. "Hey, sorry to cut this short but it's 8 and my mum wants me home. I think you should get home too, it's not safe at night, for anyone." he claimed. "Shit, I didn't even realize that it was that late. I'll see you tomorrow." the girl said slightly laughing. "Yeah, cya." the boy responded quickly smiling at the girl before walking away.
Olivia put her earphones in and started to listen to music on her way back home. While she was walking she hadn't noticed the figure walking up behind her, until they grabbed her and started pulling her back to their car, Olivia screamed for help but the person quickly covered her mouth. While trying to escape from their grip, Olivia got shoved harshly to the ground, hurting her sprained wrist even more. When she looked up she saw someone just throwing punch after punch at the person that tried to take her. Olivia was up against the metal fence of the entry of the park, crying her eyes out. The Person that tried to take her had gotten up and they had blood all over their clothes. They walked slowly away from what had just happened and left in their car. Olivia was still crying when the person walked up to her. Her fear got the best of her making her scurry away from the person approaching.
"Are you ok?" the voice getting closer. Olivia knew that voice sounded familiar but she couldn't pinpoint who it was. Slowly lifting her head, her eyes widened when they made contact with the same greyish blue ones that had shown her nothing but hatred and disgust till now. Corbyn looked just as shocked when he noticed that it was Olivia. "I'm fine" she hiccuped. She got up trying to leave as quickly as she could but Corbyn quickly stopped her when he saw the bruises that had formed around her arms, neck and her wrists - her bandage coming undone and had been covered in dirt. "No, you're not fine. Come wit-" he said but the girl cut him off right at the end. "I said I'm fine." the girl cried out. The fear she had was visible to Corbyn, he could tell that she feared him. "Obviously not if you're crying and covered in bruises and after what just happened, there is no way I'm letting you walk by yourself." he declared. "I don't want to go with you." the girl whispered, her arms wrapping around herself from the cold. Corbyn taking notice took a couple steps closer to her. He raised his hand to take his hoodie off but Olivia lightly flinched. Corbyn noticed but didn't bring it up as he thought that it wasn't the appropriate time. He gave her his hoodie, helping her put it on.
