THIRD PERSON

Olivia was debating on following Corbyn and explaining what she meant. After an awfully long minute, she decided to sprint in the direction Corbyn had gone but when she got there, he was already long gone.

Olivia decided to walk back home and finish her homework. As she made it to her front door, she couldn't stop thinking about Corbyn, she felt bad, he partially broke down in front of her. She entered her house, closing the door behind her and making her way down the long hallway, to her bedroom. After finishing all the homework, Olivia wanted to go out for a walk so she showered and changed into a white oversized hoodie, ripped jeans, and some black converse, spraying some perfume and adding two small chains around her neck to top it off.

Without the fear of being caught by her parents, she sent a quick message to her brother to cover for her to which he quickly came out of his room arms crossed. "What do you want?" Olivia asked, rolling her eyes. "You owe me". Harvey replied bluntly. Olivia sighed but agreed and then left the house. She decided to avoid the park and just make her way through the neighborhood, walking down each street.

After about 30 minutes Olivia could hear a motorbike approaching her, hoping it was Corbyn, she turned to her side seeing the motorbike parked next to her. 'Not Corbyn's' she thought to herself. 'Fuck. Why do I know that?', being lost in her mind as to why she knew, she got snapped out with a cough coming from the other person. "Hey" the boy responded. "Hi, Connor." the girl replied. "You sound like you were expecting someone else?" his statement came out more like a question. "Huh? oh nah." the girl responded a small fake smile making its way onto her face. The boy wasn't convinced but continued to speak anyways. "I'm hosting a party this Saturday if you wanted to come?" the boy exclaimed his eyes looking her up and down. "Uh sure send me the address and I'll see." The girl was a little uncomfortable under his gaze. The boy let out a small chuckle before speaking up again "I need your number to do that sweetheart." Olivia's face flushed a light red at the nickname.

The two exchanged numbers and Olivia took a couple of steps back preparing to leave before Connor spoke once again "I'll send it to you Friday. Did you need a ride anywhere?" He asked her, his voice seemed innocent but Olivia saw the hidden intent behind his eyes. "No, I'm ok, thanks." Olivia smiled awkwardly before continuing. "I'll see you ar-" "Oh come on, I'll take you anywhere." Connor cut her off. "No. I'm ok," she responded again. "Olivia come o-" before Connor could finish a deeper voice spoke, one that brought a sense of safety to Olivia. "She said no twice now". The two looked back to see Corbyn in a beige hoody - hands in its pocket - jeans and a couple of chains around his neck.

Connor rolled his eyes in annoyance before continuing, "What the fuck are you doing here?" "Walking, the fuck does it looks like I'm doing?" Corbyn replied with the same tone. 'Fuck he's hot, Olivia was so caught up in staring at Corbyn that she didn't even hear Connor speak again. "Whatever, I asked Olivia, So yes or no Liv?" The boy annoyed at the girl that wasn't paying any attention to him snapped his fingers in her face, making her flinch back into reality. "No, no I don't want a ride, thank you, I'll see you at the party on Saturday." "Suit yourself." the boy shrugged his shoulders, driving off.

As Connor drove off, Corbyn started walking in the same direction which got Olivia out of her thoughts. She started following behind him, doing a little jog to catch up, and started walking next to him. 'What am I doing?', 'Do I say something now or wait fo-' her thoughts were interrupted once again. "Don't remember asking you to walk with me." the boy gave a side glanced in her direction. "I just wanted to apologize." the girl's voice came out a lot quieter than expected. Corbyn slowed down his walk to a stop before facing Olivia. The truth was Olivia had told herself that she needed to apologize but had no idea what to say, so she just stood there, looking at Corbyn. "Well?" The boy inquired waiting for a response. Olivia once again opened her mouth to speak before closing it just as quickly - not knowing what to say. After a couple of awkward seconds of Olivia not talking, Corbyn sighed and started walking again, until he heard her soft voice.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for calling you an asshole, I'm sorry for speaking to you like I knew what or who you are, even though I had no idea. I'm... I'm just sorry for that whole conversation we had before, it's just you were so mean and just a complete dick before, and then I saw you vulnerable and... and I was wondering if we could try being friends? If not I understand." The girl let out somewhat quickly due to her nervousness, her eyes were glued to the ground until his voice spoke making her meet his galaxy orbs. "Sure, I forgive you".

After a couple of seconds, Corbyn and Olivia started walking around the streets, talking about anything that came to their minds and sharing a couple of silent moments that were never awkward. "So are you gonna walk alone or are you just gonna follow me home?" the boy wondered. "Can we go hang out at the park?" the girl asked making direct eye contact with the taller boy. Corbyn was shocked at the sudden burst of confidence that Olivia had built up. Olivia was mentally beating herself up, 'why the park?', 'what the fuck?'. "Uhm, uh yea yeah sure. Um let me go get helmets for me and you and we can go to the park on the motorbike." Corbyn stuttered out. The girl nodded before following Corbyn once again.

When Corbyn made his way into his house, Olivia stayed outside. While thinking about what she had just done, her phone started ringing. She pulled it out to see a picture of Jasmine on her screen. Answering the call she was met with a very nasally voice. "Hey". Jasmine said dragging out the word. "Jesus, are you ok?" Olivia questioned worried about her friend. "Yeah, just a little sick so I won't be at school for the next two days, is it possible to pick up all the work for me and bring it to my house every day after school?" Olivia agreed and asked Jasmine to send her the address. "So what are you up to right now?" Jasmine asked. Just as Olivia was about to answer, she saw Corbyn coming down the stairs and towards the front door, completely forgetting she was on the phone. "Olivia?" Jasmine spoke once again. "Oh right, Jas I got to go, I'm with Corbyn. Ok bye." The girl hung up the phone just after hearing her friend yelling into it, "With Corbyn? Wai-".

Olivia put her phone into her back pocket before looking up to meet Corbyn's eyes. "You ready?" he asked a small smile made its way quickly before disappearing just as quickly. "Yeah." the girl responded.
