THIRD PERSON

The girl looked shocked at Daniels's words, quickly looking between Corbyn and Daniel. "I'm sorry what?" Corbyn immediately gave a confused, angry glare towards Daniel making the boy instantly regret his words. "Nothing. Nothing... I didn't say anything." the boy scratched the back of his neck, looking down towards the ground. The girl just awkwardly nodded her head before changing the subject to end this awkward interaction. "Uhm so what are you guys writing about?" Jonah spoke up telling the girl that they haven't yet come up with that. "I think this lesson we figure out what we want and start to get some lyric ideas and Olivia can help or work on her project". Jack said, with the group agreeing.

As they continued on with their lesson, Olivia had Daniels's words stuck in her head. Maybe it was a lie. Maybe it was the truth. She didn't know. Getting out of her head for a second she noticed Corbyn staring at her. She couldn't deny that he was hot, flawless even, however, something in the way he looked at her didn't feel right. He's dating Samantha, why the sudden liking towards her. Olivia's thoughts were cut short by no other than Samantha herself. She walked over to Corbyn hugging him from behind, "Hey baby." she said a small smirk made its way onto her lips when she made eye contact with Olivia. "Hi." was the boy's response. Samantha ignored the boy's dry response and started talking again. "I was thinking since we haven't gone out in a while that today after school we can go to the shops, there's this really cute bag that I really wanna buy." The boy thought for a second and then agreed. Samantha quickly pecked his lips before walking away.

There wasn't long left of the class so they started to pack up. While they were waiting for the teacher's dismissal, Daniel and Jack forced Corbyn to ask Olivia to sit with them at lunch as they claimed it'll benefit him in his challenge. After Corbyn got tired of the two other boys asking he finally agreed. Walking up to Olivia he awkwardly just stood there before Olivia spoke. "Are you ok?" she asked him, just for him to nod his head before speaking. "Um did you wanna sit with us for lunch?" his gaze moved from her eyes to the ground before meeting her eyes again when he heard her positive response. Lunch went by quickly as did the following two periods and then it was home time. Corbyn walked up to Jonah and Zach asking them to do a favor for him. "No Corbyn, no way". Jonah responded. "Please. This is the last thing I'll ever ask you to do". The boy pleaded. Jonah and Zach looked at each other before turning back to the boy. "If we lose her as a friend, we will kill you". Zach said before finally agreeing to what Corbyn asked of them.

They walked up to Olivia's locker asking her to go to the shops with them. The girl agreed and then quickly called her brother informing him that she was going to the shops with friends and won't be home till later. She walked towards Jonah's car and quickly got into the backseat. When they made it to the shops the three of them had fun walking around, looking at all the shops. Jonah had to go home early, and since Zach and Olivia are able to walk home they decided to stay longer. Whilst looking at a pair of white and green Vans, Zach received a text message from Corbyn telling him to take Olivia to the only bag store on the second floor of the mall. Zach put the shoe down before walking with Olivia on the escalator to the second floor. As they reached the top they walked, continuing to look at all the shops before ending up in front of the bag store. "Wanna go in?" Zach asked. "Sure." the girl agreed and the two made their way inside. After about five minutes of looking around, they heard two people fighting. Although Olivia would usually ignore these situations, she recognized one of the voices as Corbyn's making her move in closer.

"Because I don't love you anymore," Corbyn said in his voice tiredness and anger were very evident. "Why? I've given you everything." Samantha yelled, her voice breaking. "Everything? Really? You cheated on me multiple times." Corbyn raised his voice. "I fucking hate you." She yelled. "Good". Corbyn said before walking out of the store. Samantha walked out of the store as well except going in the opposite direction of Corbyn. Zach and Olivia looked at each other before walking out following Corbyn.

"Corbyn" The two yelled out before quickly running towards the boy. Corbyn turned around looking at the two. "What?" he asked his voice softer than usual. "Are you ok bro?" Zach asked, receiving a nod from the other boy. Zach received a phone call from his mother asking him to come back home. He asked Olivia if she wanted to walk with him home or if she wanted to stay with Corbyn. Olivia thought for a second before choosing to stay with Corbyn.

Corbyn and Olivia exited the mall, not a word was shared between them. Olivia was the first to break the silence being sorry for what happened to Corbyn with Samantha. The boy didn't respond and they continued to walk in silence. After a couple of minutes, the two found themselves in a park, Olivia recognizing it immediately. She froze up a bit before the deep voice of the boy cut her off. "Are you ok?" the shorter girl looked up at him. The wind blew through his hair making it slightly shift to the side, really bringing out his greenish-blue eyes. "Liv?" he questioned again bringing the girl back to reality. "Huh? oh yeah yeah I'm fine". She stated before quickly walking a couple of steps to be beside him.

"What are you doing later?" the girl could clearly tell that the boy hated the awkward atmosphere around them and wanted to cut it out. "Nothing, you?" she replied. "Crying myself to sleep." the boy responded. The girl let out a light laugh making Corbyn snap his head at her. 'Fuch he wasn't joking...' she told herself. "Sorry, I just didn't think you of all people would say that." The boy's brows drew together, confused as to why he would be any different from anyone else. "Why?" he questioned slight hurt was hidden in his voice. "That's just the way I think of you. You're the popular asshole that can do anything he wants, I don't see many things that can hurt you." Olivia put out her honest opinion turning to face the boy. "Why would you think that?" the boy asked before the girl responded quickly with her own question. "Because of the way you treated me. Why do you care what I think of you?" The boy struggled to give out a response, taken back by the girl's mean comments, but something stuck in his head - why did he care what she of all people thought of him?

Olivia looked at him disappointed with the lack of an answer. She knew he didn't care, something was telling her to leave and just walk home alone but she just saw him go through a breakup and it wasn't in her nature to just leave someone behind. She decided to wait another minute for Corbyn to say something. Corbyn however was trying so hard to think of something to say to her. "Because I'm human. Because just like you, I have feelings, and believe it or not I do get hurt a lot. Do you think because I'm popular people like me? because if so I hope you know that people only enter my life to take a bit of my popularity then leave. But I'm the asshole." He exclaimed his voice breaking here and there, he nodded his head in annoyance and anger, his teeth biting into the corner of his bottom lip.

The girl stood there in shock at the way Corbyn opened up to her slightly. Corbyn gave her one last look and when she looked back up at him, she could tell that he was fighting back tears. Olivia opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out, making the boy walk away leaving her alone. Olivia took a minute to register what was happening and two things ran through her mind. One was telling her to run after him. The other told her to leave him alone.
