꧁THIRD PERSON POV꧂
Corbyn ate his breakfast and walked out of his house fast; before anyone in his family could see his beat-up face. When he walked out of the front door, he expected Olivia to be there but to his surprise, she wasn't. He walked around the side of his house to see if she was still below his room but still there was no sign of her. 'She probably already left' he thought before walking back to his car and driving off to school. 'Stupid Corbyn. Why did I agree to this bet? Make her fall in love... HOW?' after internally beating himself up he noticed that he had already made it to the school parking lot. He parked his car before sprinting to class.
When he finally opened his class door he was greeted by the teacher's deep voice. "Mr. Besson you're late." Corbyn rolled his eyes before fakely apologizing and walking to his seat in the back and resting his head on the table. "You know it's not nice to throw girls off your balcony." Corbyn immediately looked up to meet Connor's smirking face. Corbyn just stayed glaring at him before Connor decided to speak again. "I think you should leave the new girl to me," he said before quickly turning to the front. "Not a chance". Corbyn spoke up calmly to not gain the teacher's attention. Connor laughed low enough for the teacher to not hear but never turned back to see Corbyn's angered face.
After the first two classes, it was the first break of the day. Corbyn walked out of the class quickly finding his friend's table and walking up to them. "Hey Cor- You look like shit man. What happened?" Zach asked making the rest of the boys turn around to see Corbyn's beaten-up face. It was cleaned up but the bruises were very prominent. "I still owe Connors group some money but I'll pay it tomorrow. Anyway, Have you guys seen Olivia?" he asked his eyes scanning the cafeteria for the girl. "Yeah, she likes to sit outside, back oval, under the wisteria tree," Jonah spoke up from the other end of the table. Corbyn gave a quick 'thanks' before walking out of the cafeteria and to the back.
"Why is he looking for her?" Zach asked innocently. The same thought seemed to click in both Daniel and Jack's heads as they both turned to face each other. "That's our boy" they laughed as they said it at the same time. "I hope she rejects him so we win," Jack said, with Daniel nodding. Jonah and Zach seemed unpleased with the other boys plan.
Corbyn had made his way outside quickly finding Olivia, right where Jonah had said; under the wisteria. She looked angelic sitting under it reading a book, whilst the tree's magenta flowers dangled down all around her. Corbyn immediately shook his head of that thought and walked up to her. "Why did you leave with Connor?" Olivia looked up from her book, eyebrows knitted together as she spoke up her voice light. "How did you know I-" before she could question the boy he cut her short. "Because he told me. Now, answer why did you leave with him?" he asked again his voice slightly harsher than the first time he asked. "I don't know, I thought you would take your time and I didn't want to be late..." The girl rambled on before Corbyn let out a sigh which seemed to quiet the girl down.
"He's not a good guy". Corbyn started before Olivia spoke up once again. "And you are?" her arms crossed, watching the boy as he sighed again before sitting down in front of the girl. "No. I'm not saying I'm not a bad guy but you have to understand he's dangerous," Corbyn spoke his voice not as harsher as it was before. "Says the guy that almost had us both killed last night." The girls voice came up once again. "You owe me an explanation," she stated. Corbyn's eyes moved from the ground, up to her before looking back down once again. "I can't... do that." he stuttered out. "Corbyn. Tell me." The girl spoke up once again her voice showed clear anger. Corbyn took a second before finally answering the girl. "We were chased because I owe money to the wrong people," he said looking up at the girl to see her reaction.
"Are you in some illegal group or something?" the girl asked cautiously as she fidgeted with her ring. "No." Corbyn let out almost amusingly. "Ok... Why did you owe them money." She blurted out, making Corbyn raise a brow at her. "See now that is simply non of your business." He smirked as he looked at the girl that clearly wanted answers. "Have you eaten?" he inquired. "Not yet." the girl replied. "We have ten minutes let's go buy you a snack or something." He stood while putting a hand out for the girl to hold. It took the girl a second before she grabbed his hand and her book and stood with the boy.
Corbyn started walking with the girl slightly behind him. He was making his way to the little vending machine inside and in the corner of his eye he could see the smaller girl do a tiny jog to keep her place next to him.
