꧁THIRD PERSON POV꧂
The boy gave Olivia dirty looks throughout the hour at her response. He didn't think someone like her would stand up to him like that, yet here she was. The bell was almost unhearable but someone had heard it and started packing up indicating to the rest of the class that the first break started. The teacher and class had packed and left leaving the girl alone with the boys. The boy gave his friend a little side-eye indicating that he wanted to go back to the girl. They walked up and towered over her whilst she was packing. The girl was clearly scared, especially since what happened to her that night. She chose to ignore them, picking up her speed and walked past them but a strong hand had grabbed her left wrist, pulling her back and slamming her against the wall. She made eye contact with those same cold eyes and fear overcame her. His musky smell overpowered her nose.
"Not so brave now, huh?" He teased, getting a small laugh from his friend. His grip on her arm became tighter and her wrist started to hurt. She let out a little whimper and tried to pull her free but his grip tightened, making her feel like she had sprained her wrist. "Listen, bitch." he hissed, he could see the fear in her eyes and that plastered a grin on his face. "Next time you pull some shit like that, I will hurt you. Understood?" he stated more so than asked. The girl was in pain from his hold and was too scared to talk so she just nodded her head, hoping to get out of this situation. "Good." he spat before somehow pushing her harder into the wall. He and his friend had walked out of the classroom, leaving her there alone, her wrist and back in pain.
She got her bag and walked out of the classroom, noticing that Connor was nowhere in sight. Her wrist hurt but she chose to ignore it and continue on with her day. She walked around the halls reading signs, trying to find the cafeteria. It took her a while but she had finally found it. She was near the doors but was internally debating on if she should go in. She decided to go in and get some lunch then eat it elsewhere. Sitting alone at school was new to her yet she did so. She walked through holding her wrist with her other hand to somewhat subside the pain. She looked at the food options and nothing looks appetizing, if anything it made her lose her appetite even more. In the corner of her eye caught the sight of a vending machine, past the open doors, opposite the ones she walked in through.
She walked awkwardly from the common stares she got from students around her. She managed to ignore them somewhat and make her way to the vending machine. She looked at the prices and her jaw dropped. '$7.50 for a small packet of chips, what the actual hell?' with that sight, she was about to walk away but her stomach let a small grumble out. 'I'm gonna hate myself for this.' she thought. Olivia got her wallet out taking out a $10 note and paid. Opening the packet of chips she saw a couple of lonely chips in there. She sighed eating them, then throwing the wrapper in the bin. She looked around the hallway she was in and noticed two closed doors, the outside world visible.
Olivia stepped outside into the fresh air, enjoying the greenery the school had. She found herself wandering around till she found the basketball court with a couple of boys playing on it and behind it in the distance she saw the school's large field. The girl grew up loving sports especially basketball and soccer so seeing the school had that to offer excited her. Her attention was taken back to the boys on the playground when she heard his name. "Connor." the boys on his team yelled. "Connors open. Connors open." another said. Olivia watched as the smaller-built boy passed the ball to Connor, who effortlessly scored a three-pointer. The boys cheered and Connor's eyes met hers. He excused himself and did a little jog over to her.
