꧁THIRD PERSON POV꧂
Corbyn walked over to his motorbike as Olivia followed behind. He gave her his only helmet and got on, her getting on behind him. After a couple of seconds, Corbyn started the engine and waited. Knowing that the girl behind him wasn't going to hold on, he spoke up. "Are you going to hold on or do you want to fall?" he questioned her. Olivia hesitantly wrapped her arms around Corbyn's waist, feeling his body tense before finally he drove off and all she felt was the cold wind blowing through her hair.
While Olivia was enjoying the view, she hadn't noticed that they were making their way out of town until they came to a stop. She looked around for a bit, 'where are we' was all that was running through her head. They were parked on the side of a dead road, with nothing but trees surrounding them. Her arms still wrapped around Corbyn, not realizing until he gave her arm a soft tap. She let him go, watching as he turned the engine off and climbed off. "Stay here, don't move, don't make a sound, I'll be right back. his words and face shared the same seriousness. She quickly nodded her head, as he started to walk away.
The sun was nearly gone, and darkness started to form around her. She felt a slow panic rise through her body, scared for the boy and herself. She decided to put her helmet down and walk in the direction Corbyn had traveled in. With the help of her phone's flashlight, she started walking. Still, within view of the motorbike, the girl heard leaves and sticks snap and crack from the direction of the motorbike. 'Took him long enough, she smiled at the stupid thought and started walking towards the direction of the noise until someone covered her mouth, pulled her, and pinned her on a tree. She started to panic and tried to yell, squeal, and even attempted to kick the person. However, the person's reflexes were quick to block and hold her legs still with theirs, trying to get her to calm down.
"Shut up, they're gonna catch us and we'll be dead because of you". Corbyn whispered his mouth near her ear. When she heard his voice, she did nothing, she just stood there frozen. "The second I let you go, I need you to stay here quietly, I'm gonna run in a different direction to the bike, once you can't hear us, turn it on. Got it?" Olivia just looked at his shadow like figure and started shaking her head, indicating that she didn't want to leave. She was frightened enough to not be able to move. A tear slipped down her cheek and landed on Corbyn's hand. He removed his hand from her mouth, moving it to her cheek to wipe off the tear before holding her hands in both of his. "Listen, you can do this, ok? And also it's gonna be 11 soon and I'm pretty sure you don't wanna see your parents angry". Corbyn tried to lighten the mood even just a little bit but failed, the girl still stood there scared.
He didn't know what to do or say, so he stood there for a couple of seconds before trying to comfort the girl again. "I promise I'll come back as soon as they are away from you. Ok?" He took his hands away from hers, before returning to placing the key so that it was sandwiched between her hand and his. He hoped that she would just close her hand and a couple of seconds later, the girl did not disappoint. "Ok". the girl gently whispered back. Although the girl couldn't see, the boy smiled at her and started counting down from three. On three he started running and the girl immediately heard people yelling and footsteps chasing after him. The second the girl couldn't hear anything, she ran to the motorbike. Immediately turning it on, and sitting leaving enough space for Corbyn.
Around 6 or 7 minutes later, she heard footsteps coming from where she once was. She got scared and froze the second a human figure started to appear coming straight at her. But eventually, the figure got onto the bike speeding back to a safer area. The girl tightly wrapped her arms around Corbyn's waist, instantly feeling his body relax under her touch.
After a while, the clock had hit 10:30 pm and the two had made their way back, parking a couple of houses down from Olivia's. Olivia got off the bike but felt something was off. The girl couldn't help but question the boy about what had happened, who those people were and when he didn't respond she got extremely angry and started raising her voice at him. "Olivia! Nothing is wrong, everything is fine!" his eyes fixated on the road ahead. "Look me in the eyes and tell me that." the girl retaliated. "What?" "Look me in the eyes and tell me everything is fine!" she repeated a little louder. The boy didn't want to concern her, but he had no choice if he wanted to leave. He looked down, his once fluffy, chocolate brown hair sticking to the blood around his face. "Corbyn, look at me". she demanded sadly.
The second their eyes met the girl gasped. "Corbyn...what did they do to you?" she whispered fearfully before continuing in an urgent manner, "You need to go to the ER now". The boy just looked away from the girl and stared right in front of him. "Cor-" before she could finish Corbyn spoke fast but clear. "I think you should go home, it's getting late, I don't want you to get in trouble." he wanted her to stop worrying but she was just so stubborn. "Corbyn, you need help! I don't care if I get in trouble, you need to go to the hospital now". While the boy did nothing, the girl got impatient and hopped back on the bike, wrapping her arms around the boy. "Take me to your place". she ordered. Corbyn looked back at her shocked, 'what is she on??'. "Are you crazy? It's almost 11!" he responded. "Corbyn, I don't care, let me help you.... please". "No". the boy replied bluntly. "You're refusing to go to the hospital, and I want to help you so please just let me". The boy took a minute, then drove back to his place. On the ride he had thought about texting the boys, but he knew they're inappropriate responses and wasn't in the mood for it tonight.
