A/N: once again I am editing this years later, and I decided to get rid of the heavy cheating trope (as well as many annoying y/n energy scenes). People change and I just don't think anything besides a kiss and inner monologue is necessary. Thank you for bearing with me when I was a freshman in high school🙏🏻

He was meant to ask me. As his face was less than inches away from my lips my mind spun. I tried as best I could to remember Cedric, but words couldn't describe how I felt in this moment, and words could describe how Cedric made me feel.
He made me feel loved, important, fun, safe, and special, but shouldn't there be more? Shouldn't there be passion, anger, and lust? There was never any room for me and Cedric to share lust, because he never made me wait for it. Desire was never built up.
I sat here with Draco, thoughts twisted, wondering if I should do something, but the choice was quickly made for me. Draco laid his lips upon mine. His kiss made me teleport, it felt as though I was lying on top of a cloud kissing an angel. Words simply couldn't describe this.
"Draco I-" His thumb pressed my bottom lip as he dragged it all the way down.
"I know love." His eyes were hypnotic, and I wanted to kiss him again, so I did. His hand held on to my neck as the feeling of his lips pierced my body once again, and when he released me I was short of breath.
"But-"
"Cedric." He already knew what held me back from being his in that moment. "You won't belong to him forever. I've waited 6 years, I can go a little longer." He kissed my forehead as he stood up. I watched him leave the room, but it still felt as though he had mysteriously disappeared.

The Yule Ball was two days away, and I wouldn't be going with either of the boys I wanted to go with. Instead, I would be going with Harry, a boy I didn't fancy, while my boyfriend was going with Cho Chang.
Out of all the girls he just had to go with someone who was breathtakingly gorgeous. At least I didn't have to worry about Draco's date, he doesn't fancy Pansy. Shit, Draco. I had been trying to get the kiss off of my mind, but I couldn't.
Draco was every waking thought. I had been sitting next to him in DADA and boy was he a blast to be around. He never showed anyone the side of him that cracked jokes and..well laughed. Why wouldn't he want people to know he's a fun entertain-able guy instead of a dirt bag?
Neither of us had forgotten about the kiss, far from it, but we both silently agreed not to speak of it for Cedrics sake. However, for Draco it was more for my sake.
"Do you have your dress for the ball yet?" Draco asked me while we were in class.
"I do, but you'll just have to wait and see." I teased.
"Well I'm very good at waiting." He said looking at me, maybe not talking about my dress anymore. I was going to say something when class was dismissed.
"You'll look stunning May." Draco winked at me before leaving the classroom. As I watched him leave I noticed Cedric waiting in the doorway as always.
I flashed him a smile as I walked over to him. He leaned down to kiss me, but I turned and let him kiss your cheek. When I do that he knows I'm upset, only this time it's my fault.
"What's going on?" He asked looking down at you worried.
"I need to tell you something." I said quietly, knowing I had no choice. "This just isn't something I can hide from you."
