I made it on the train to Hogwarts, still thinking about the incident that took place a couple nights before. As I sat in the compartment, I couldn't help but think about the next time I'd see Cedric. He certainly made an impression on me, that's for sure.
"Does anyone want something from the trolley?" I asked.
"Lots of frogs please." Ron always only wanted the chocolate frogs, it was an issue really, but I got them anyways. Just as I was about to pay I saw Cedric come up to the trolley, he handed the lady 6 coins.
"On me." He said winking at me, then stepping back into his compartment. I took the frogs and dumped them on Rons lap, then sat down as I daydreamed of Cedric the rest of the train ride.
I wondered what his hair felt like, what it must be like to run my hands through it. His smile was perfect, and his teeth were white. But his lips. His lips were a perfect pink, soft and smooth. How would it feel to kiss him?
I was pulled back into reality by the train honking. We arrived at our stop, Hogwarts. We made it up to the school safely, but I soon lost my friends to the crowd of people in the courtyard. I turned around to look for my friends, but bumped into him. Draco Malfoy. He would probably scold me, spit in my face, or push me to the ground for brushing myself against him. However, he didn't. He put his hand on my shoulder and looked me in the eye while tilting his head, as if he wanted to see my face from every angle.
"Be careful." He said mysteriously, before removing his hand and walking away. Interesting. His tone was almost undetectable. Was it supposed to be rude? There's no way it could've been caring, not Draco Malfoy. The only person he cares about is himself, right?

As we took our seats in the dining hall, my attention was quickly drawn by the loud echoes of Dumbledores voice.
"Attention everyone! This castle will no longer be your home this year, but home to some very special guests as well. You see, Hogwarts has been chosen-" He was interrupted by a strange old man running up to the platform, and then whispering something into his ear. Dumbledore simply nodded.
"So! Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event! The Tri Wizard Tournament!"
Everyone looked around the room in whispers and excitement as he continued his speech. "But more of that later! For now, please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic!"The doors on one side flung open as all of the girls walked out in matching blue dresses in complete synchronization, they even stepped with the same leg. Every guy in the room was swooning, all except for one, Draco seemed very unimpressed. Dumbledore greeted the Beauxbaton headmaster with a kiss on the hand, but it suddenly seemed as if he had shrunken, for she was the tallest woman you'd ever seen. He ran back up onto the stage and announced the next school.
"And now our friends from the North, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang!" Another set of doors sprung open, and a huge group of men came through. Now this group, the men from Hogwarts weren't too happy about, especially Cedric as he watched Viktor Krum send me yet another wink.
The men also had their own routine, but it was definitely nothing like the Beauxbaxtons. After the two schools were introduced, there was loads of chatter everywhere, and people already volunteering themselves even though no one was listening.
"But attention please!" Dumbledore spoke back up. He went on about how great the student who won would be, and how dangerous the tasks were. What he said next would wipe the smiles off half of the room. "For this reason the ministry has seen it fit to impose a new rule. For your own safety no student under the age of 17 should be allowed to put forth their name for the Twi Wizard Tournament. This decision is final." Even more chatter broke out than when he announced the games, only there was more screaming this time. No one under the age of 17 was happy about this, especially not the Weasley Twins.
"This is rubbish!" I heard them yell.
"Silence!" Dumbledores voice was like a powerful sound wave across the room as silence fell. He took out his wand and revealed the Goblet of Fire. "Anyone wishing to submit themselves to the tournament nearly write their name upon a piece of parchment and throw it into the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly, if chosen, there is no turning back. As of this moment, the Tri Wizard Tournament has begun."

I began to walk towards my first class of the year, Defense Against the Dark Arts. That's when I realized, shit. It was my first day back and I was already late for class. I ran down the halls until I reached the right classroom. As I opened the door and stepped in everyone stared at me, especially the professor who was unfamiliar to me this year. Instead of coming in to see Snape I saw a short man dressed funny, who had what seemed to be a fake eye ball. Was that Mad Eye Moody?!
"Well don't just stand there, take your seat please." I looked around the room and every seat was taken, all except one. As I looked to the only empty seat in the room, my eyes found that the boy in the seat right next to it was Draco. I gulped and slowly went to take your seat. It was awkward at first, probably only for me, but still uncomfortable. I, in turn, made things worse for myself by staring at him from the corner of my eye.
He was relaxed with nowhere near as much tension as I had. His lips were perfectly pursed as he payed great attention to the detail of the lecture. That's right! The lecture. I pulled myself back and tried to pick up on what he was saying.
He was speaking on unforgivable curses. My whole body began to tense up as he cast the first one onto a spider. The Imperious Curse. I've had it used on me before. It's all kind of a blur, I don't remember who cast it, or what happened after it ended, but I remembered what it did.
Watching the spell being cast, even just on a spider, made my nerves tighten and my face scrunch. Draco noticed and tilted his head at me, but I ignored him. At last, it was over. Of course Mad Eye just had to find himself another student to victimize. He asked for the next curse, and Neville Longbottom spoke up.
"The Cruciatus Curse." Neville knew too much than he should even have to about that curse. Him and his family were kidnapped by death eaters. He had to watch his parents be tortured using that curse at an attempt at gaining information. I felt even worse for that poor boy when Mad Eye called him up. There's no way someone could be so cruel, but Mad Eye was.
He had Neville watch as he cast the same curse that was laid upon his parents unto the spider, and he reacted the same way I did. His muscles tensed and his face tightened. Someone had to stop this.
"Stop it! Can't you see that's bothering him you lunatic?!" I yelled out, and he stopped the curse. The spider crawled onto his arm and I squirmed in my chair as he walked over to me and released it on my text book.
"Avada Kadevera!" He killed the spider right in front of me. "The final unforgivable curse. There is only one person known to have survived it, and he's sitting in his room." I felt bad he called out Harry, but I was honestly just relieved the focus was off me.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Draco reach his hand to yours, but he changed his mind before he could grace my skin with his touch. A part of me wanted to remember who he was, a cruel and selfish man, but the other part for some reason craved his touch right at that moment.
