Finally, my first year at Hogwarts. I heard Harry Potter would be attending, he was a legend. He's the only known person to ever have survived the unforgivable curse that brought death upon people. He would probably be one of the best wizards there, and I only associate with the best. At least that's what father says.

My parents didn't waste any time before they left me at the train station. I got aboard the train and saw Crabbe, Goyle, and Pansy Parkinson already in a compartment, so I joined them. I wouldn't say we were necessarily 'friends' but our parents did business together, so they were the only people I knew. Our parents never told us what their 'business' was. They said we were too young to know, but we would be able to join them when we were older.

As I sat down I looked up and noticed a girl. She had long brown hair that ran down to her waist. She carried herself with confidence, yet her eyes showed compassion. I watched her go down the aisle, poor girl didn't know anybody. I was going to kick out Pansy and offer up her seat, but I watched her enter a different compartment.

Not any compartment, Harry Potters. I didn't know this girl nor Harry, yet a part of me was upset. I was supposed to know her, not him. All I could do was befriend Harry in hopes of being close to her, but how does one make friends?

I wasn't surprised whenever the sorting hat put me into Slytherin. My father was sorted into Slytherin, it was pretty much all I could expect. What I didn't know what to expect was which house the most beautiful girl in this damned school would be put into. I held my breath as the hat spoke something to her, and then there it was. A Gryffindor. Great.

On our way to the dorms I immediately spotted that girl. She was with Harry and a bunch of other losers. Someone had to save her from the fate of those being her only friends.

I watched her walk away and that was my moment, so I walked up to Harry and made some...friendly conversation, but I guess he didn't see it that way. When I realized this wasn't working, I quickly got out of sight before she came back and saw me. Now I could never talk to her, Harry would probably tell her what a jerk I was. She'll despise me by the end of the day.

Year 4
I sat up in a tree as I watched her sit there reading her book. It was a beautiful sight, her sharp mind invested as she kept her eyes locked on the paper. I knew her name by now, it was May. A perfect fit to my last name. Of course my visual just had to be ruined by one Harry Potter and his Weasley friend. I could hear them speaking, they were talking about her.

"Promise you won't tell her Ron." You heard Harry say.

"Come on Harry you're the chosen one! You can have any girl you want, just tell her." The weasel replied.

"You're right, I'm just gonna do it." Oh hell no. I would be damned before I let Potter have a chance with her before I do. I jumped down from the branch I was staying on and pushed him to the ground. A bit excessive maybe, but I a had to shake his confidence.

"Quit it Draco!" He screamed at me from the ground. How dare he.

"That's Malfoy to you!" And that was when I noticed her eyes shoot up to me. She looked at me in a way I never wanted her to, with fear.

I've spent the last 4 years at this bloody school trying to make everyone fear me, but never her. Granted, I didn't fully know what she was like. I didn't know her at all really, she was simply a fantasy. If anyone knew I had imaginary feelings for her, or anyone at all, no one would respect me.

She was weakness. But at the same time she was joy. As I watched her kneel by Potter, she ran her fingers through his hair and I nearly lost it. In my fantasies she ran her fingers through my hair, not Potters. She looked up at me angry, and I ran away. I already knew I wasn't a good person, but I couldn't hear it from her.

All of the terrible things she probably wanted to say to me I couldn't handle hearing from her lips. So I ran. Little did I know, there would soon be nowhere to run from her.
