Chapter One - Welcome To The New Age

:D I had a lot of inspiration tonight.

The song for this is "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, just because it played when they were let out of the ark. xD So yeah.

Chapter One

Four.

It took four guards to hold me down so that they could sedate me. I punched three of them and kneed the other one in the nuts. Hell, it was their fault anyway. They deserved it. That room had been my home for the past nine and a half years and they invaded it. Assholes.

I was woken up by someone shaking my shoulder. 

“Hey, you awake? We’re about to leave."

My eyes shot open “What did you just say?” I asked, kind of afraid of the answer.

I was going to stand up from my seated position, when I realized that I was locked to the wall. I wasn't seated at all. I was standing up, and I had a harness keeping me against the wall.

"Shit." I growled out, attempting at trying to get the damn thing off me when the guy that had been talking to me reached over and stopped me. 

"Hey, no, that's the only thing keeping you from dying here."

I raised a brow, then looked over at him. "What?"

"We're in a drop ship."

My eyes widened for the second time. "Holy shit."

He laughed. "Yeah, same. Why were you out, anyway?"

I shrugged. "I'm violent when people invade my space."

He suddenly looked nervous, slowly moving his hand away. I laughed. "Don't worry. I'm not violent with fellow convicts." I winked at him, and he smiled.

That was the first time I truly took a look at him. He had shaggy black hair that was slightly covered by the pair of dark goggles that rested just above his forehead. He had slightly tanned skin and big eyes with a big mouth to match. Literally. He was kinda cute, but then again, I hadn't seen any other teenage boy other than Bellamy. 

I didn't have another chance to look at him because the ship suddenly jolted. "What the hell?" I muttered, holding onto the harness a little tighter.

"That was the atmosphere, I think." He said. "I'm surprised that the ship lasted this long. It's more than a hundred years old."

I sighed. "Hopefully it'll land alright."

I suppose he decided to change the subject into something slightly more pleasant, because he spoke right afterwards with a more cheerful tone in his voice. "I'm Jasper." He said, smiling. "And this is Monty." He said, pointing to the side of him. 

I had barely even noticed Monty, simply because he had been completely silent. He had been staring at a screen on the other side of the ship, where the chancellor was droning on and on. That guy was really starting to piss me off. He was talking about how we were 'expendable'. He can go and float himself for all I care. 

Jasper smacked Monty's arm, and he jumped a little, then seemed to notice my presence. "Oh, hi." He smiled lightly. He seemed really shy.

"So you know our names, what's yours?" Monty asked. Maybe he wasn't so shy after all.
