THE NEXT CHAPTER IS THE EPILOGUE

OMIGAWD

Oh wait... There may or may not be a sequel. Depending on the thoughts of my readers. ;)

Anyway, the song for this chapter is "Irresistible" by Fall Out Boy. ^_^ It kinda fits Murphy and Venus' relationship.

Enjoy! :D The next chapter will be the last. ;)

"And I love the way you hurt me...

It's irresistible."

Chapter Thirty-One

I cried for about a minute, then for some unknown reason, I suddenly froze. I stopped crying, I was almost emotionless. I didn't do anything. I didn't move for a few seconds, and heard Murphy and Bellamy saying my name. But I didn't respond.

Something was wrong with me... I knew that. However, I didn't care at all. I knew what I had to do. I had to find my friends, and make the six lives I had taken worth it. After that... Well, I didn't know what I would do.

I stood up, walking over to the ladder and quickly climbing it. I heard them both hurry after me, but didn't bother to look back as I followed Finn. Sterling and Monroe both looked at me with wide eyes, then went behind me along with Murphy and Bellamy.

"Everyone, eyes peeled, we're in grounder territory," Bellamy said. He had made his way forwards, to the front, with Finn right behind him, with Murphy and I right in the middle.

"Everything is grounder territory, alright?!" Murphy shouted. He suddenly stopped moving. "I can't keep running! We don't even know if the guy Finn killed was telling the truth!"

Finn darted forwards, grabbing Murphy's arm and attempting at dragging him forwards. "Keep moving!" He yelled, then turned and ran right into me. My hand wrapped around his wrist, and I dug my nails into his skin until he nearly bled. He pulled his hand away, and Bellamy moved forwards.

"We can give him a minute," Bellamy reassured Finn, who turned away from me to look at Bellamy.

"No, we can't! You heard what that grounder said, they'll outlive their usefulness!"

"I heard what he said when you had a gun to his head," Bellamy said, seeming agitated about Finn's past actions.

"Look, you think I wanted to do that?! He would have told his people we're coming! And by the time we got there, our people would be dead! Maybe that's something you can live with, but I can't!" He darted forwards, trying to shove Bellamy away, but I grabbed the collar of his jacket and yanked him back.

"Hey, you did what you think you had to do! But you and Ven aren't yourselves right now and I can't be out here with more loose cannons!" Bellamy said, trying to reassure us. He failed.

"Guys..." Monroe muttered, looking behind the three of us and raising her gun.

It was only then that I heard the buzzing of flies. They were around the bodies that littered the grass and bushes around us. They weren't grounders... They were our people.

"Where the hell did they come from?" Murphy asked, looking over at all of them, squinting his eyes as the sun shone brightly.

"The ark," Bellamy said, moving through the bushes and grass.
