Hiya! :D I'm actually really happy about this chapter. You'll see why soon. ;)

The song for this chapter is the rendition of Young And Beautiful by SoMo. I am obsessed with this guy! He's such an amazing singer. :D And he's pretty easy on the eyes too. ;)

Enjoy! And comment your reactions! :D

Chapter Twenty

I spent the night in Octavia's tent instead of in the drop ship. Both of us were still mad at him, so he knew better than to even try to come in.

I asked Octavia what had happened, and the first thing she asked was why I didn't come with them when I was one of the best shooters. So, I explained to her that her psychopath of a brother decided to lock me in the third level of the drop ship.

She told me what happened, and to say that I wanted to punch Bellamy and Clarke to death was a complete understatement. They were idiotic. The Grounders didn't trust us, that was obvious. But if Jasper hadn't fired, it was most likely that they wouldn't have even thought of hurting us. If anything, they would rejected the deal and walked away.

And, apparently, we had a big problem in terms of the ark. The drop ship that was coming down had been destroyed, and Clarke's mom was on it. That's where everyone was, except for Monty, Jasper, Octavia and I. Some people decided to leave while we stayed behind with the few others that wanted to look after the camp.

I sighed, climbing up onto the watch tower and standing beside Octavia. "Hey," I muttered, and Octavia waved at me while Monty smiled, then they went back to their conversation.

"You don't know really know what you're made of until a moment like that, you know, when it's kill or be killed? When it's just nothing between you and the tip of a spear," He continued, but I sighed and rolled my eyes, deciding not to listen anymore.

"Okay, this has to stop," Octavia said, about to walk over to them when Monty stopped her.

"Come on, let us have this," He said.

"Us?" I asked, smiling a little. Monty was proud of Jasper.

"Look at him," He smiled. "My boy's a folk hero. They even gave us a bigger tent."

I was about to say something, but my train of thought was lost when I heard a loud rattling behind us.

"Somebody hit the trip wire!" Someone yelled.

Panicked murmurs sounded in the camp, and within seconds, somebody had shot twice. I think it was Derek. "I think I got him," He whispered.

"Lincoln," Octavia seemed terrified, and ran ahead. But I went in front.

Octavia ran behind me, along with Conner and a few others. Conner and the others had guns, but Octavia and I did not. But I didn't care. This grounder, if he wasn't Lincoln, would suffer if he tried to touch anyone I cared for.

I ran up to it, with Octavia soon beside me. She stood by me, then slowly moved towards it. It was laying on the ground, and looked to be a male. He seemed to be unconscious.

Octavia moved forwards to touch him, but I stuck out an arm in front of her, stopping her.

I walked over to him, slowly kneeling down and feeling my heart rate increase. I touched my fingers to his shoulders, and the grounder quickly moved away from me. He kept scurrying away until he was about five feet from me, then turned to face us with his hand out in defense.
