Chapter 2

Jay's POV

"Shit, shit, shit" I whispered to myself. There was Erin, staring at me and Hailey flirting. I, out of reflex, pushed Hailey away, and looked at Erin. She came back. I know it's only for a short time, and probably not for me, but I'm still in love with her. Is she also still in love with me? Of course, she is, I could see it in her eyes, when we made eye contact.

"Welcome back!" Hank said.

"Welcome back, can we go talk somewhere in private?" I said, put my hand on her shoulder and walked into the hearing room.

"We need to talk about you and Hailey, right?" Erin said.

"Yeah. I never thought you would come back so..." I was interrupted by Erin.

"It's okay, honestly I never thought so either. That doesn't mean that I'll ever stop loving you."

"I still love you. I haven't had a serious relationship since you. Hailey and I where on the way to be serious, but now that you've shown up, I'm not so sure." I spoke.

*Door opens*

"Sorry to interrupt but we need to get started on the case:" Kevin opened the door and said.

"We'll pick this up again later?" Erin said.

"Oh definitely!" I answered.
