Chapter 10
Hailey’s POV
Jay and I were waiting at the hospital to see the possible victim. Will and Ethan were working together on the victim and wouldn’t let us see her before she was stable. We obviously wanted to interview the victim as soon as possible, but understood that she needed a bit of time, so we waited patiently. All of a sudden Jay’s phone rang. I took a quick look at the screen and saw Voight’s name on there. Jay was nodding as a reaction to voight’s message. He suddenly went into shock. His mouth was wide open, eyes confused and worried, and his voice was cracking when he replied to Voight on the phone.
“What is it?” I asked him
“It… It’s Erin.” Jay stuttered
“What… what is it?” Now I was worried.
“That son of a b!tch took Erin.” Jay was on the verge of tears but also very inraged.
“Jay, come on, let’s go find Erin.” I said trying to calm him down.
We had almost gotten in the car, when Will came running behind us.
“She’s ready to see you now.” He said.
“Great, we’ll go talk to her now then.” I took the word. “Let’s go, Jay.”
“Jay was hesitant at first, but still knew it would be helpful to talk to her, so we walked back in the hospital.
“Remember, she’s still in shock, so if she seems distant or doesn’t want to answer a question, don’t push her.” Ethan said as he led us in her room.
“Hi there. My name is Hailey and this is my partner, Jay. We’re here to ask you some questions if you don’t mind.”
“I’m happy to answer some questions as long as it helps to find the guy who did this to me.” The victim answered.
“Great, thank you. Let’s get started then.” I said.
“How would you describe the guy’s appearance?” Jay asked.
“He was wearing light blue scrubs, had dark hair and was carrying around a blue nail polish.”

Time went by and Jay and I had asked all the questions we had for the victim and got an answer for every single one. One last question popped up in my mind.
“Do you know of any hiding places in your neighborhood? Sheds, underground spaces, blind alleys etc.?”
“Actually there’s one down the road, under the train track. It’s a brown, wooden, tiny shed. It’s quite run down so not a lot of people notice it.”
“Thank you so much for the help…”
“Cathrine.”
“Thank you so much Cathrine.”
