"Hey, have you seen Thoma and Lannion today?"
"They weren't here for the first lesson. Or the second, in fact!"
"I saw them at breakfast. Messing about, as usual. Don't you remember? The sausage tea?"
"Be quiet, Don"
"Yes, please Don"
"Okayy..."
"Well, we can still tell Miss İsabella. They might be sick."
"Good idea. We should go for the next lesson now, though"
"Okay, we don't want to be late"
"One minute..."
"NAT! Leave your hair alone will you!"
"Come on!"
Emma watched as Anna, Gilda, Nat and Don ran down the wide corridoor, disapearing from view.
She turned to Norman. "They're LOST"
"Then we should probably go and tell Miss İsabella. They may have got lost or maybe they are injured. "
Emma suddenely gasped, making Norman jump.
"WE HAVE TO TELL MİSS İSABELLA! They could be really hurt! Come ON Norman!!! Also, we have to find Ray and tell him to alert the teachers and then help us look for Thoma and Lannion! Nobody has seen them since breakfast... They could be seriously İLL!"
Norman stared at Emma. She seemed so worried, her eyes were wide and she was frantically calling for Ray while tugging him along.
So afraid of her family getting hurt.
"it's okay Emma, we'll find them" Norman said, smiling.
He really hoped they were okay.
~Time skip~
When Emma and Norman found Ray, who was skipping an Art lesson and studying outside the bathroom where the teachers coudn't see him, Emma let loose another jumble of worried words and Norman tried to comfort her while telling Ray that they were going to see Miss İsabella.
Emma, Ray and Norman knocked on Miss İsabella's office door. İt was painted white and had pictures from the children stuck on the walls around it, it was such a peacefull, happy place.
A sign that had been made by one of the younger children hung on the door. İt said:
WELCOME
Emma had always liked the fact that Miss İsabella's office door was so colorful, but she had never really gone inside. When she knocked on the door to tell Miss İsabella something, or ask her a question, Miss İsabella would always come out and suggest they should sit in the common room, or say her desk was terribly messy, and usher Emma forward.
But she would let them in now, this was important.
Miss İsabella was family. She would let her in.
Then why, Emma asked herself, why did she feel so... Nervous?
Norman raised a hand to knock on the white door, Emma looking like she was trying to stay calm but failing. Ray could see both of them were nervous to go in, they had never gone in before .
And they didn't know that he had, a million times before.
Norman knocked on the door .
"Come in, Norman, Emma, Ray " called Miss İsabella from inside.
They all froze.
"How did she know it was us?" asked a flustered Emma. Ray sighed.
"Probably becouse you came here a few minutes ago, and you spent those minutes standing there wondering what Miss İsabella's office is like. So it had to be somebody who had never been in here before, which narrows it down to about most of the school.
"Then Norman raised his hand to knock, he touched the door and that made a sound, but he stopped and knocked about twenty seconds later. Who else would do this? Another thing, both of you are breathing loudly, and Emma's breathing is usually faster than most and she usually breathes through her nose only, but now she was trying to calm herself, so as breathing through her nose then mouth. As for Norman, Norman always breathes normaly, but his was faster than usual. And she took a guess about me, as I usually am around you two. "
There was a pause.
"Okay ..." said Emma.
"Wow Ray, you really do think fast "
"Miss İsabella is waiting for us "
"You were the one who luanched into a full on speech, Ray . "
"Norman, right now you are the one wasting time"
"Come on both of you!" said an exasperated Emma .
