"Emma!"
Emma turned to see Norman running towards her. She smiled.
"So you did decide to come?"
Norman did his best to glare at her. "Well, I'm probably in big trouble now, and so is Ray, and so are you." He sighed. "But thats nothing new. Anyway, Emma, now we're out of lessons, where do you suggest we look for Ray?"
"Uhm..." Emma looked up at the ceiling. "Well, we could try the library. Ray sometimes goes there..." She sighed too. "Norman, why would Ray just leave us? He's never skipped lessons without us. There must be something bothering him."
"Mmm..." Norman frowned as the thoughts he had had earlier floated back into his head. Could Ray be with Miss İsabella?
"Norman! I can hear footsteps!" Emma grabbed Norman's arm and pulled him against the wall.
"Sssshhhh!"
"There is a shadow!" Hissed Norman. "What shall we do?" The person was right around the corner, a few steps away. Suddenely Emma gave a sharp in take of breath. "Norman! İt could be Ray!"
"And it could be a teacher. We have to be a little logical here, Emma"
"But Norman-"
Suddenely the figure turned the corner and Don stared at them. "Huh?" He blinked. "What are you doing ?"
"Oh, it's you!" Norman was relieved, it could have been a teacher, or even worse, Miss İsabella, and he was also disapointed; it could have been Ray.
"Uh, yeah, it's me." said Don. "Why aren't you two in lessons?"
"Why aren't you?" asked Emma. "We have a proper reason. And you, Don?"
"Uhm..." Don coughed. "Well, I... The bathroom. I needed to go... To the bathroom"
Norman nodded, but Emma wasn't done. "The bathroom?" She leaned forward. "But there's one in the gym"
Norman fleetingly wondered why he hadn't realized there was a bathroom in their own room when Ray had said he was going.
"Oh, yeah..." Don panicked.
Norman was a little annoyed with Emma for reminding him, and he decided to take the side of the red faced, nervous boy standing oposite him.
"İt was full. The bathroom was full. Wasn't it, Don?"
"Oh. Yeah! İt was full!" Don gave Norman an grateful look.
Norman realized Don probably felt like he had when Ray saved him from the teacher, just a few hours ago.
Where are you, Ray?
"Norman?"
Emma and Norman had carried on walking down the corridoors towards the library, Don had scuttled back the other way once Norman told him the answer of the question which he had 'randomly asked' and Ray was still nowhere to be found.
Now Emma was wondering why he gave Don the easy way out.
"Norman, Don could've been guilty!"
"What? Guilty?"Norman stared at her. "What do you mean?"
" İt was a joke, Norman. I'm glad you helped Don out. I was just having a bit of fun anyway, so you can relax."
"Okay..." Norman wondered if it was the time to joke. "You never joke without Ray" he said quietly.
Emma didn't say anything, she just kept walking.
