The monitor beeped in one long pulse. A flatline. Wheeljack breaks down to the floor. "I will not loose another wrecker..." He growls, in tears. Ratchet tries his best to bring Soldier back but nothing seems to work. "I may have an idea." Optimus says. He walks over and grabs the forge. "If there is anymore energy left, Soldier can absorb it." "He's not a prime though." Bulkhead says. "My son is part prime. Megatron and I assembled his spark after I became granted with the title and matrix. Soldier is both gladiator and prime." He rests the handle of the forge in Soldier's servo and nothing happens. Wheeljack looks down in sadness as he knew that Soldier was going to join the allspark.
That was until a feint whirring sound caught their attention.
Wheeljack looks up to see The Forge's insides slightly spinning. Soldier glew brightly for a few seconds before The Forge stops spinning and he stops glowing. "Did.... D-did it work?" Jack asks, concerned for his friend's son. "I--- don't know..." Optimus responds. Ratchet shakes his helm and gets ready to speak before a ping sound is heard. Ratchet turns around to see a slow spark pulse. Wheeljack stands up and exclaims "Yes!!! YES!!!!!! SOLDIER'S OKAY!!!" Optimus sets his servo on Wheeljack's shoulder, rubbing it softly, calming him. "I was sure that Soldier would push through." He sighs in relief. Wheeljack stepped closer and held the ex-con's servo lightly, being careful not to break it more than it already was. His digit accuators were cracked, and the metal bindings of his acutal fingers, some of them were split, some had punctures, and most of the parts were bleeding. Wheeljack was careful not to move the parts. He only had the slightest touch between their servoes.
He looks back "Can you guys give me and him a second?" He asks, tears still beading from his optics. The bots nod and leave the hangar to go to their berthrooms and offices. Even Ratchet left. Wheeljack brushed his servo up Soldier's arm and onto his frame. His servo tracked to the back of Soldier and lifted his frame. Soldier slid down the berth and Wheeljack stopped him. The wrecker brought his free servo to Soldier's helm and pulled it to the side so he could face him. His voice cracked and began crying harder, seeing his friend in this predicament. "I'm so sorry...." He whimpered. Wheeljack could hear the pulses of Soldier's spark. They were very feint. It was quiet and slow. Wheeljack touched their helms together and sighed "This is my fault. I couldn't find out how to tell Magnus. I couldn't tell someone that you were still there. I left you there.... I'm a horrible friend. I think I've said this before, but this time it's serious. When you're out of this, I am so going to make this up to you."
He thought about it for a second and proceeded, he tilted his helm and placed his dermas on Soldier's. He seperates and pulls Soldier back up. "I'm sorry, buddy." He sighs. Wheeljack walks away and goes to his new berthroom.
