"Pink zinnias are usually used to symbolize love, romance, and affection. You would be least likely to give a pink zinnia to a friend – it should be reserved for romantic partners."

V was yet again waiting outside the matchmaking shop. The shop had been closed for the last week and he did not want to admit it but he missed Bom a lot. Seeing how he was in the same situation he was in for the last week, V sighed.
He looked around to check if Bom really wasn't at the shop or around it and spotted a park. His eyes landed on the zinnias. Those were the flowers he saw in his dream the last time. He just shrugged and walked towards them as if they were pulling him in like a magnet.
And the sight he saw caused his eyes to open wide open as he froze on the spot. In front of him was Bom, picking specifically, pink zinnias that were growing in the park as well as red poppies.
V felt as if a flood of memories rushed into his head. Images of a girl and her mother at this same park picking flowers flashed in his mind. Her smile looked identical to Bom's. Had they met before or was he going crazy?

"What are you doing here?"

Bom asked coldly, snapping V out of his thoughts. He blinked a couple of times and stammered,

"O-Oh, I was looking for you."

"Why?"

"I-I missed you,"

V replied, lowering his head and fiddling with his fingers. He dare not make eye contact with Bom. However, Bom felt her heart raced. Please stop doing this to me, V. She thought, clenching her fist tightly. Her heart ached.

"I don't know why you're acting distant and I apologise if I said something I shouldn't have but... I really missed you. I know that, like you said before, you only treat me like a client but I think of you like a friend, "

V muttered, causing tears to spring up in Bom's eyes again as she felt a stab. Friend. He thought of her as a friend. Maybe that's what she could be. Instead of torturing herself by distancing herself from him, she could possibly get over her love for him and just be his friend. Just maybe.
With that being said, Bom placed the red poppies she had picked on the ground but continued to grab to zinnias. She stood up and walked towards V, lifting her arms with the bouquet of pink zinnias and held it in front of him. Smiling, she thought, if only he knew and said,

"Zinnia flowers are most commonly given to friends who have been absent for quite some time,"
