(FLASHBACK)

It was a Sunday, and the academy was silent as ever. None of the Hargreeves children were practicing their skills nor making any unnecessary noise. But they were out about in their rooms, minding their own business. In the room of Number One, Luther, who was doing his daily exercise in his room. Counting quietly in his head as he did his third set of push-ups. On the other hand, in Number Two's room, Diego was having a silent duel with the air, punching and swerving as if someone was attacking him and blocking his every move.

Number Three, Allison, was playing dolls with her sister, Number Seven, or as their mom calls her, Vanya. They both share a giggle as they imitate a voice for each doll. In the other room, Klaus as Number Four had his pointer and middle fingers pressed on each side of his forehead and had a glare plastered on his face as he focused on his brother, Number Six or also known as Ben who silently judges him as he stares back.

In the next room, Number Five was, well, reading a book.

"Huh, Lennie sounds a bit like Luther. Dumb as a rock," Five mumbles to himself as he held the book, 'Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck' in his left hand. His eyebrows furrowed as he continues reading the chapter he was in. "Not to be trusted on his own..."

He hears doors banging and shuffling outside his room. Five rolls his eyes as he figures that his brothers were play-fighting in the hallway. Despite their dad, Reginald Hargreeves'  strict rules during Sundays: MUST THERE BE NO TRAINING, KEEP SILENT AT ALL TIMES. -- You can guess that none of them really followed it. Who can blame them? They're kids.

"Five! Five!" A bang was heard outside his door, disturbing the boy from his peace. Five's face scrunches up in a growl, but he did not pry his attention from his book. Maybe if he kept quiet, they will go away.

"He's probably busy, Klaus. We shouldn't disturb him." Five hears another voice. It was Ben's.

"Five! I know you're in there! Come on, open up!" The voice pressed on, still banging on his door like a madman. Five turns to glare at his door and still did not move from his place. Clearly, his brother does not have 'peace and quiet' in his dictionary. Oh wait, he doubts that Klaus reads any book at all. That explains a lot.

"Five!"

"Klaus, I don't think he'll--"

"What do you want, Klaus?" Five states, loud enough for his brother to hear outside the door. He kept his eyes glued to the book he was reading. He tries to keep his focus on the paragraph he was on: "After a moment, the ancient dog walked lamely in through the open door. He gazed about with mild, half-blind eyes. He sniffed, and then--"*thonk! thonk! thonk!*

Five sighs, the annoyance building up in his chest. He swung his legs over his bed and stood up. He quickly warps over to the door, too lazy to even walk up to it in the first place. He swiftly opens the door, only to reveal Klaus with a stupid grin on his face, and Ben who was behind him, avoiding any eye contact.

Five gives them a glare before warping back to his bed. He sat down and returned back to reading. "I have to tell you something," Klaus pipes up, entering his brother's room with Ben closely behind him. Five clicks his tongue, "Does it concern me?"

"Um, no. Maybe. I don't know, but--"

"Great! Then suffer in silence."

Ben stifled a laugh as Klaus had his mouth hanging open after Five unintentionally (or maybe, intentionally) tells him off. Klaus glares at the boy by the bed, "Okay, rude. You really have to learn how to be nice for once, Five."
