Part 10: Assurance

"Two more months," Five whispers as he watches Nine do her daily pregnant women's exercise. He had given her a book about pregnant women's exercises when he found it while he was scavenging for food and warm clothes. Nine's stomach had gotten larger, and he was getting excited. They weren't sure if the baby were twins, but deep down inside something tells them that it was. He sure hopes everything goes to plan.

"Ugh..." Nine grunts, clutching her lower back, "My back hurts..."

Five immediately rush to her aid, "You can stop if you want. You've completed at least 6 of them in the past 20 minutes. I think you deserve some rest, sweetheart."

"Yeah... I think I do," Nine answers, holding onto Five for support as she took her strength to stand up straight to regain her balance. She chuckles, "Who knew being pregnant could be this difficult? Heck, I have to give birth to two!" 

Five smiles, placing a kiss on her forehead. He nuzzled his face against her neck, placing a kiss as he does so. "I'm excited to meet them. I can't wait to be a father."

Nine lets out a sigh of relief, "Me too. I'm as excited as you are. If only our siblings could be here... They'd be great aunts and uncles." She replies, frowning.

Five placed another kiss on her forehead, rubbing his hands against her back. He knew how much this meant to her. How much their siblings meant to their lives. He misses them too. He gives her a reassuring look, "I'm sure they'll love them."

"I bet they'll spoil the two. Klaus would babysit all the time even if we don't tell him to. Allison would sing to them. Luther can help build us cribs. Vanya would play her violin as their lullaby. Diego would fight Klaus on who to babysit next. And Ben..." Nine pauses as she realizes the harsh truth. Tears brimmed her eyes as she began to sniffle. "Ben..."

"Ben would read them stories. He'd teach them manners. He would buy them all the toys they want. He'd be the best uncle they will ever have." Five adds, continuing with his backrubs. 

Nine lets out a soft chuckle, "He would..."

"And I'm sure they'd take after him. Reserved and full of surprises."

"Yeah... They are going to be amazing. Just like our siblings. Just like Ben." Nine whispers, pressing herself against Five. Her abdomen begins to softly glow, and Five places a hand on it, smiling. He sighs, "They will..."

(Eight months)

"How long do I have to do this?" Nine asked, holding her lower back with her right hand and the other placed on her large stomach. She takes multiple deep breaths, trying to ignore her swollen feet that were beginning to ache.

"At least 15 more minutes."

"This feels like an hour. I wanna eat now."

"This is your last one, honey. You can do it," Five encourages her as he reaches for her legs. He lifts her left leg and gently pulls, and does the same thing to the other leg. "If you finish this, I'll massage your feet for you."

"Aww, how sweet of you," Nine coos, "Too bad I don't have anything to give you for a reward."

Five gives her a knowing look, and she quickly raised her hand. "No. Not that."

"But, why?" Five whines, "I read that sex helps!"

"You don't know that. I don't want any complications."

"You won't have complications. It really does help!"

"What if my water breaks all of a sudden? We don't know what will happen if we have sex, Five."

"Oh come on, please! It said that having sex can help improve labor and recovery time."

"Five."

"A-and it can reduce your stress levels! And uh..."

"Five," Nine gives him a look as his face turns red. Five mutters something under his breath, earning another questioning look from her. "What did you say?"

"I said... It can get you to orgasm more..." He replies as his words trail off, and his ear all red. He was embarrassed. But with that, it'll be a miracle if his wife-to-be and the mother of his children would say yes to his request. Nine's lips twitch into a grin, "Really? Did it really say that in the book?"

"Yes..."

"You know what, fine. Let's do it."

Five's face lights up as he looks at her with bright eyes. He took her hands with his, "Really?!" His voice broke over the excitement. "We're really going to do it?!"

"Yes," Nine giggles, "Why are you so excited?"

"I have been begging you to do this for the past few months, and you only said yes now!"

Nine rolls her eyes in a playful manner, "Yeah, let's do it before I change my mind."

"I love you," Five whispers as he quickly leans in to kiss her on the lips, without her having any chance to reply to him. He caresses her back with his hand while the other on the back of her neck to help deepen the kiss. Before the kiss turns steamy, he pulls away and gives her a look, as if asking her consent. "Are you really okay with this, Nine? You can always tell me to stop."

Nine smiles at him, leaning in to give him a soft and longing kiss. She presses her forehead on his, "I want to. You don't have to worry about me, dear."

Five held onto Nine for dear life, as if she was going to vanish any time soon. He took every opportunity to kiss her all over, to touch her all over. Nine knew he was going to be gentle like he always does. She didn't hesitate to put her trust in him just like she did when they were younger. He was her soulmate, her partner in crime, the love of her life. And she was his. Only his. Just as long as they have each other, everything seems possible.

"I'll take good care of you," Five answers between each kiss. He meant it. "I love you."

He meant every word.

"I love you too."

As long as they both have each other.

A/N: It has been months, I know. I have been on hiatus for so long, I haven't been able to update the second book as much as I wanted to. But this Christmas break, I have time now. I'm really sorry for not updating so much. Our first semester is finally done, so I do hope I get to upload many chapters by this month. I hope you continue to stay tune with my book series :') I owe you guys a lot.
