"It's been months, huh?"
"Yeah. It has, hasn't it?"
"...."
"Five... Do you miss home?"
Five drops his gaze from the ground and turns to look at the girl besides him. He gives her a small smile, "Of course I do. I mean, I don't wanna say it out loud, but I do. Do you?" His gaze softens as the girl's reaction stiffens. He begins to feel nervousness from her aura. "Nine?"
"I do..."
"What's wrong?" Five questions, scrunching his eyebrows. His bottom lip begins to quiver from the cold, and he quickly scoots closer to Nine, placing his arms over her small body. "Is something bothering you?"
Nine shakes her head, slowly reaching her hand to rub her cheek and eye. "Um, I'm okay. I guess, I just missed them is all." Five lets out a sigh, his breath could be seen as he exhaled. "You're not telling me something. What's wrong, Nine? You can tell me anything, remember?"
"Well..." The girl whispers, "I've been having strange dreams, even nightmares."
"Care to tell me what happened? It seems like it's been bothering you for awhile now. I can see dark circles under your eyes."
"Is it that visible?" Nine's cheeks reddens, earning a chuckle from the boy. Nine weakly smiles, "Remember that thing I always told you about?"
Five gives her a confused look, his eyes narrowing from her glowing skin. "Which one, sweetheart?" He gently asked her, not wanting to push her buttons and freaking her out. He scans every bit of her face. From her eyes to her chin. He lets outs a sigh of satisfaction.
"The figure."
"Oh," Five paused, his heart thumping loudly in his chest. He begins to shiver, and quickly pulls Nine closer to regain body heat. "It's cold." Was the only thing he could say. He was confused, and bothered. He doesn't really know what words to come out next. He's afraid that he might say something that will cause her to be silent.
"Yeah," Nine nods, feeling a little bit upset when she realizes that he had dodged the subject so willingly. Yet, she knew it had completely bothered him. Every single time she has to bring up about the figure she's been seeing, he would always dodge the subject. As if he was afraid of telling her something important. But, she knew not to question him. At least, not now.
Silence engulfed the two as they embraced each other. The cold air brushed their reddened and pinkish cheeks. Their lips turning pale, and their eyes narrowing towards the dark place around them. Five grabs Nine's hand, interlocking it with his. He gently pushed her against his chest, and placed his chin on top of her head.
He slowly opens his mouth, "Are you tired?" His voice shaking, and his eyes beginning to droop. Nine hums in response, closing her eyes as her glowing radiated the room they were in. All they could hear was their steady breathing, their heart pounding smoothly, the fire crackling softly near them, and the cool breeze whispering in their ears. The blanket that they had found, was all tattered about, so it didn't give them much comfort that they need to survive a few more nights. But, they didn't care at all.
"I love you..." Five whispered, a small smile planted on his lips. He looks down at the girl he's holding, and sighs. She was asleep, and he was glad. She had finally felt comfort and had to rest herself. Five places a kiss on her head before pressing his cheek against it. His body begins calming down as heat had crept up to his feet up to his cheeks, and he closed his eyes.

Five lets out a soft groan, trying to adjust his eyesight to the bright light that was shining at his face. He slowly tries to wrap his arms around the girl again, and bury his face on her neck, but was alarmed when he had felt nothing near him. He glanced at the fireplace they had made, it had died out. He looked around the room, shivering as cool breeze kissed his nose, causing it to redden. He clears his throat, "Nine?"
