Part 3: Dolores

Nine places Dolores on a stool, and examined it. She remembered the time when she had left Five, he had kept himself busy with another companion. She can't help but smirk to herself, and chuckles. A pair of arms snakes around her waist, a chin placing itself on her shoulder.

"What are you laughing about, sweetheart?"

Nine plays with the ring around her ring finger, and a small smile crept up to her lips. "Remember the time when you exchanged me over her?" She asked, another chuckle escaping her lips. Five mumbles under his breath, burying his face on her neck. "What did you say? I didn't catch that."

Five slowly raises his head, "I said, I was heartbroken that time, and lonely."

"And drunk, may I add." Nine snorts, "You were really drunk. And, you were heartbroken? You were the one who told me off, remember."

Five lets out a groan, "I know! But, you left!"

"I was really lonely, you know. You were gone for months. I celebrated my birthday all alone." Five pouts, turning his fiancée around to face him. Nine rolls her eyes, wrapping her arms around his neck. "How do you think I felt? I also celebrated my birthday alone too."

"I'm sorry," Five sighs, and groans again. "I'm sorry, sweetheart!"

"Sheesh, okay, okay." Nine laughs, leaning in to give him a peck on his lips. Five pouts again when she had pulled away. Nine notices his look, "You are so needy."

"I can't help it."

Five gazes at the sleeping figure in his arms, and smiles. He watches Nine breathes softly with her mouth slightly open, her cheeks and nose were pinkish that matches her fingertips. He couldn't help but think of how precious she is as he gently trails his index finger from the bridge of her nose down to her bottom lip. He felt his own cheeks reddens as he rubbed her lip, liking the way how soft it was despite being slightly chapped. Oh, how he loved those lips.

"Stop... staring..." Nine breathes out, her nose twitching. Five softly chuckles, now rubbing his thumb across her cheek. "Sorry, sweetheart. You're just too precious."

Nine hums in response, and lets out a soft snore, indicating she had fallen asleep yet again. Five begins rubbing her head which earned him a small smile in return. His gaze fell upon to a mannequin across from them. Dolores was staring at them, like all the mannequins, with a stoic expression. 

"Not cool, Dolores. I'm not creepy, okay? I'm just admiring her." Five huffs, whispering his reply to the doll. Dolores gave him another expressionless look, causing him to grin widely. "Well, yeah, of course. I really do love her, you know?"

Who knew they would eventually end up together? Who knew he would actually propose to her? Despite all the wreck around them, their unhappy moments, their mourning. They were still happy with one another. And, Five was thankful for that. She was his peace, his world, his everything, and he knew nothing would ever change that. How she manages him so well and put him in his place was still a mystery to him. It never occurred to him that someone would support him in any way possible despite his petty attitude. Everything she does was still a complete surprise for him, and he really loves it.

Five glances back at the sleeping figure below him. He felt his heart thumping loudly in his chest. "After all those years of being together, she still has this effect on me." He sighs in satisfaction, smiling at Nine then back at Dolores again. "Thanks, Dolores."

He leans his head back on the wall behind him, smiling at the memories he had with her and their siblings. How he was an absolute love struck puppy whenever she's around. He chuckles to himself, rethinking all the dumb and embarrassing things he had done to get her attention. And, the staring, gosh. Don't even get me started on the staring he had done almost every single day he would give her. 'Man, dad never liked how I always stare at her during meal times.' He thought to himself, 'Holy shit. I am just that blunt, huh?'
