Hayden's POV

I think I really fucked up this time,   I couldn't stop.. He's really hurt and I think I might need your help if things go to a legal matter.

Son you need to tell me everything! Were there any security cameras or witnesses that know you?  It was in Oklahoma and not here so that's the only good thing. My father says with worry and doubt clear in his face.

Well it happened on the golf course, I doubt any camera saw and his family were witnesses, they clearly saw my face but with all the chaos I doubt they really payed attention. As far as I know none of them except Mia knows my name. I assure him.

Okay. We should be fine. He starts to say but my phone buzzing in my pocket tears my attention from him,    Sorry I have to take this.

Yeah it's just so bad Hayden Tommy's in the hospital and the cops are gonna investigate. She says crying through my speaker.

It is now December 24th, my fraternity is having there national Christmas Eve party which Mia agreed to attend with me.
We had spent everyday together since the fight went down, her excuse at making Christmas money gave us lots of precious time together without her family suspecting anything. In those days we learned that tommy was healing fast and the dreaded wedding was still on along with the investigation of the fight.

Hey bro where you going? Mark ask as I get my keys and wallet.

Uh I gotta go pick up Mia's Christmas gift It just finished getting sized.

A ring... I assure him while looking down at the floor while the nerves hit my stomach.

Bro what the fuck! You don't buy a girl a ring because then she expects you to propose! Are you fucking crazy. Mark says doubtfully.

Mia's POV

I take one last look at my outfit before I meet Hayden to attend the Christmas Eve party.

A little short for my liking but it's collage party material.

I take moms car and drive to our usual meet at the target Starbucks, my excuse being is Sam and molly is taking me out for a dinner and a movie as a Christmas gift and they didn't question it. I guess since I've been going along with all things wedding without complaining,  dad just seems more relaxed lately.

I see my boy and jump right into his arms,
Hi puppy I missed you soo much! I say as I flood his face with kisses.

Mia what the fuck are you wearing? That's a little short don't you think? He says while starring down my outfit.

Oh.. I thought you'd like it.. does it look bad? I ask while looking at my feet, something I tend to when when I get shy and nervous.

I love it! I think you look sexy, which is the same as every other guy in that party. Your gonna make me get killed with someone tonight I just know it! He assures me.

Hayden please don't cause a scene tonight! I can't deal with the drama.. let's just have fun okay? I say desperately.

Okay I promise I won't let any tragedies happen tonight. He assures me with a chuckle.
