Third Person POV
"The headlines are horrible today." Race groans as he continues walking.
Albert and JoJo nod.
The headline for today; 'Blind man walks dog. People shocked'."
"Just like, good for him, but we've known this stuff." Albert adds, also annoyed with the headline.
Are they trying to kill us?
Race and JoJo nod.
JoJo suddenly grins as he had been looking through the paper. "Guys! Look at this!" He exclaims, motioning for them to come read the paper.
Race and Albert look over JoJo's shoulder.
It was an article written by Katherine.
"'Be nice to your Newsies'. A hundred reasons why Newsies deserve kindness." JoJo reads off of the paper, his grin growing.
Albert and Race grin at each other.
The three boys start reading the list.
"They work harder than most people."
"They're very kind."
"They don't complain that what they do is hard."
"Without them, no one knows anything."
"They barely get more than a penny per day."
"Look," JoJo starts. "She ends it by saying, 'I know some people will disagree, but you can disagree with this all you want. In the end, it's true. So be nice to the Newsies, and pay your favorite Newsie an extra penny if you can today'." He finishes.
"Aww." Race and Albert coo at the same time.
JoJo laughs.
"She's the best." Race states, pretending to wipe a tear from his eye.
JoJo nods in agreement.
"Is this illegal?" Albert questions, an eyebrow raised.
Race and JoJo laugh.
"I bet people want it to be." Race responds. "Most people hate us." He states.
Albert nods.
JoJo frowns a bit. "I don't see why they hate us. I mean, we're just doing our jobs and trying to survive." He mumbles sadly. "It's not our fault we have bad luck."
A voice behind them stops them. "I see my article made it into the papes today." They comment.
The three boys turn around, grinning. "Katherine!" They exclaim in unison.
Katherine laughs, hugging them. "Hey guys." She greets. "I'm going around with Bill and Darcy today to pay my favorite Manhattan Newsies a visit." She explains.
Race smiles. "You picked the perfect day too. No one is in Brooklyn today." He informs her.
Katherine smiles, scrambling through her bag to find a coin. "That's a good thing." She responds. "Everything going okay with the Queens problem?" She asks, looking up from her bag for a moment.
Race nods, grabbing a paper. "Nothing has happened yet, so we're all good for now." He informs her.
Katherine smiles. "That's good."
Race looks at JoJo and Albert.
Albert was talking/laughing with Bill, and JoJo was talking/laughing with Darcy.
