The bathroom was completely empty when I went at the end of third period. Well, at least I thought it was. I was standing in front of the mirror washing my hands when Harry walked out of a stall. His eyes were bright red.

"You alright?" I didn't think he would even respond. It's not like I cared about his well-being, but I felt that it was fine to ask.

"Why the fuck would you care?" He sniffled a bit and glared at me, but he didn't leave the bathroom.

"Don't be such a dick, I was just asking." Yeah, good job Louis. The boy who hates you and has proven to be capable of knocking you out? Call him a dick.

He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed rather protectively over his chest, and, surprisingly, didn't react to what I had said. He just watched me. Why wasn't he doing anything? The last time I had responded to him like that I earned myself a lovely black eye with the imprint of his fist. It was starting to make me uncomfortable. "Um, are you coming over again today?"

He nodded, but remained silent. Fucking weird. I slipped quietly out of the bathroom and returned to class. What the fuck was that? He was crying again?

I went to fourth period then, and was surprised to see someone sitting in the desk next to mine, a boy taller than me with strawberry blond hair that reminded me of summertime. He must have been new here, because I'd never seen him. It was a small school; everyone knew everyone. I took my seat.

"Hey, I'm Evan." The boy cheerfully stuck his hand out and I tried to hide my shock when I shook it. Clearly, no one told him about me or he would be sitting as far away from me as possible. "I'm Louis."

Evan smiled at me and it made me blush a bit; he was absolutely gorgeous. "Look, I'm new here and I don't really know anyone. Can I get your number? Maybe you could help me out a bit." He winked at me and I could feel butterflies fluttering their way into my stomach.

"Uh, yeah, of course." He handed me his phone and I typed my number in, feeling slightly warm as I did. "Thanks, Louis." He grinned again and we said nothing to each other for the rest of class.

He texted me not an hour later.

From Evan: Oh my god, is Ms. Camden always such a bitch?

I covered my mouth with my hand to hide my giggling. She was.

To Evan: You'll get used to it.

We texted back and forth the rest of the day, which made classes go by quickly. The day was over just like that and I was at home waiting for Harry to come over. He was almost an hour late.

"Where have you been?"

"Why? Did you miss me?" He smirked and threw his backpack onto my bed. God, he was so narcissistic.

I began writing, occasionally showing Harry what I had done. We didn't want to speak to each other, but it ended up being necessary. The sound of my phone pinging filled up the room.

From Evan: Are you doing anything tomorrow?

I could feel my cheeks flush and I was praying that Harry wasn't watching me.

To Evan: No why?

From Evan: Would you want to come over then?

I bit my lip to keep from smiling too much as I replied to him.

To Evan: Yeah for sure.

"Who are you texting?" Harry's voice snapped me out of my daze. It was none of his business, really.
