The thief and the princess (jade x kitana)

Chapter 16

Jade and Kitana stayed within the palace for the time being of what was left for the day. Asha was leaving with a bag in hand and a backpack. "Where are you going Asha?" "Oh princess Uh well I'm gonna go see my cousins for the next few days". Kitana smiled and motioned her hand so she was waving to them. "Safe travels Asha" Jade said before Asha closed the door. They both sat in the throne room tired and just ready to sleep at any given moment. Jade fell asleep sitting on the ground next to Kitanas legs. Kitana in the meantime was fighting sleep until she felt Jade rest her head on her lap so she could sleep better for the time. " *sigh* I don't blame you either dear it's been a long day and either way we didn't sleep good last night.". She placed her hand on Jades head and ran her fingers threw her long black and brown hair. Kitana closed her eyes one more time before calling over a guard to help get Jade to the other room.

As the three entered the room the guard set Jade down on the bed, yes she is still in that dress from before, and walked out. Kitana walked to the closet and changed quickly and walked over to Jade so she could get changed as well. "Dearest wake up so you can change your clothes" Jade rolled over ignoring what Kitana had just said to her. "Jade now" Kitana said in a more annoyed voice, Jade rolled over and looked at Kitana whose eyes were locked into her green eyes. Jade simply hugged Kitana then got up to go change. Kitana who was now sitting up and looking out the window at the night stars felt pressure on the other side of the bed, Jade moved over to Kitana and looked out the window as well and smiled. "You know maybe if we get a good night rest I can take you somewhere we're the stars are even more beautiful at this time". Kitana turned to Jade who had a small smile on her face and she smiled back to her then rested her head on the pillow as did Jade and they both laid there peacefully for the rest of the night.

One thing was wrong though with Jade and her sleep though. Even though Jade felt safe in Kitanas arms she still felt scared about what would happen if she fell asleep now. The only reason she felt like this tonight was because today marked the day her mother was killed. Jade had fallen asleep on the couch near her mother and when she woke up her mother and millions of others dead, and she was only a toddler at the time. As Jade tried to erase the pictures in her memory of all the dead body's around her she felt two warm lags go around her hip area. Jade jumped because she became surprised but then looked at Kitana who now had her legs wrapped around her waist, her arms around her neck and lastly had her chin or head rested on the top Jades head. Jade felt relaxed and drowsy in Kitanas arms and eventually feel into a deep sleep.

Kitana took notice that Jade was relaxed and less tense and smirked. "I knew that would work dear, after all today does mark the killing of all those innocent people from our home. I felt bad when they went and picked you up off the street and did...elder gods knows what they did to you". Kitana continued to hug Jade and about a minute later fell asleep.

Time skip to 1 month later

Kitanas (POV)

Not much had happened in the past month just me and Jade getting prepared for the wedding and stuff like that. I wanted someone to come and help me pick out a dress for the wedding but o didn't know who. I remembered about a minute later that Jade had friends that lived in this part of outworld and maybe they could help me.

Growing up many people said I wasn't aloud to have friends because they weren't royalty or they would just get in the way.

Me and Jade ended up going together but she said that if I wanted her to go at anytime she would. Honestly she would probably leave soon anyways because I was gonna try to find a wedding dress. As we walked down the street we both saw them walking around as a group. "Hey guys." I said as we approached them. They turned and said hello to me and Jade. I saw Jade smile a little more and relax from being so tense before, I honestly wonder why she is like that sometimes it's almost like she's nervous around others, I'll talk with her later about it.

Jades POV

I was in the throne room waiting for Kitana to come back and I had something to give her. I was slightly panicking so I sat down right next to the throne on the ground like last time and watched the door. I didn't sit there for a long time because about a minute later I heard her footsteps. She walked in and I walked to her and pulled her into a hug. She hugged back confused as to why I was hugging her. "Hey, what's wrong?" Kitana asked worried "nothing dear just gonna take you to that place I was talking about last month that one night". Kitana smiled under her mask remembering what she had said. They pulled away from the hug and both smiled under there masks.
