A month had passed since the incident with Lachlan. Ava was traumatised and suffered from nightmares. She also required counselling to help her fight through her trauma. Jessica was less troubled, but did have nightmares every now and again. Melvin however, was the most troubled. Lachlan was his friend, and a good friend he was to Melvin. Melvin was horrified at Lachlan's actions, but even more horrified at himself for still wanting to care for Lachlan. Everywhere he went, Lachlan went, his face plastered on newspapers all around the town with different titles such as '21 year old charged with murder, attempted murder and kidnapping.' Lachlan's name littered everything, not keen on erasing itself from Melvin's sight nor memory.
Melvin felt like he was going to collapse as he spotted another headline.
