The Baal (and Satan) were turned into toddlers/infants/teens by some weird development in Gehenna (or an accident by yours truly) and were expelled into Assiah by the cause of the Accident where they bumped into someone that had run away from true cross a couple weeks/months/years ago.
"... Mephisto? Wait. Is that Amaimon!?"
"Oh dear.."
"Rin? Why are you here!?"

"Hello? Rin? You there?"
