As you can probably figure... With Slime I mean the all time favorite Rimuru Tempest!
So~ Rimuru somehow goes into a stasis state (sth similar to a coma, you can look up Julius from Black Clover 😉) and his consciousness transferred to a Nomu which is so unstable its basically impossible to function and was thus thrown away (like into a 🗑️ or down the 🚽). However due to Rimuru inhabiting the 'body' of the Nomu his skills (which get converted into a Quirk called Maou) stabilise it with Magic and he explores the world he arrived in. Thankfully, he is still able to contact his subordinates through their link.
He is shocked at how the people are so different from each other and everyone's character is emotionally extreme. He does what he can to help and eventually gets considered the outlaw vigilante since he is neither a villain nor a hero but not only behaves like them he even works with either one at times. Nezu then obviously decided to ask if this person wanted to temporarily stay in UA. What would happen if this was just before the tournament? If Rimuru straight out told them how name under the pretense that he actually doesn't exist in their world and would have to return to his own someday.
Imagine if everytime Rimuru got contacted by his friends (can be literally anyone) a ghostly silhouette would appear in front of them and {optional} frighten anyone near him from their aura and bloodlust.
