Ghost King (Mairimashita Iruma-kun!)

Bringing a human into the Demon world, which is filled with the in the human world nonexistent 'gas': miasma, was bound to brew trouble sooner or later. Which it did, the more time passed the worse it got. It became noticeable after the banquet where the three most powerful demons's grandsons met for the first time.

Iruma, who had left an impression with most of the 13 crowns back then, started to develop a cold in the eyes of most. In the beginning it wasn't thought of as much as - by demon standards- fighting off a cold counts as a fight. An in a fight a demon is supposed to show their strength, with Iruma being a 5th rank in his year, it was expected by most that the cold would be over at the end of the week at the latest... It wasn't. Everyday Iruma's complexion seemed to worsen until one day, in Ballam-sensei's class, Iruma straight out fainted.

He was put under medical leave by Sullivan, Kalego-sensei also strictly forbid his classmates from personally visiting him. Of course, the boss of the 5 (6?) fingers got news of that through his work related to the 13 crowns.. He knew Iruma was actually a human, and after seeing how the crowns reacted to a human - one who shouldn't even be allowed in their world, and especially not before any of them! - he wanted him gone.

So~ he ordered his 'fingers' to help Iruma with his little sickness, while he on the other hand moved his plans forward. He, was planning an uprising; he had layed out his roots for a long time, all it needs is a little pull for it all  to come crashing in on itself. It was a rebellion.. a coup d'état against the ruling demons - a war.

It was only a matter of time till  Babylus too got swept up in the flames along with its students, despite the teachers valiant efforts of keeping the traitorous fiends away from the kids. During an emergency, Sullivan had to go help, he left Iruma in the hands of Opera, the Ring of gluttony (who had been trying to atleast not have Iruma inhale to much miasma) and a protective barrier he himself had cast.

The fingers slipped in.. fighting against Opera while 3 others slipped towards Iruma's room. One of them, was the woman who had helped Iruma when he got lost at Walter Park - it was at a time where he hadn't been in Makai that long yet... She, and the other two fingers got into a fight, she decided that she didn't want to kill a mere kid (the fingers didn't know that he was human). The other 2 fingers fought against her, it was 1 vs. 2 until the ring of gluttony got involved and provided back up.

... One demon, both: a former student and traitor at Babylus, as well as the leader of the fingers and a former club member of the club Iruma, Asmodeus and Clara were part of, was there supervising the fight from the shadows. Both the fight below (2 fingers vs. Opera) and the fight in the hallway (Gluttony + 1 finger vs. 2 other fingers) would attract attention. Though honestly he himself was annoyed at the fights, so he decided to take matters into his own hands and went towards Iruma's bedroom.

He entered, and had a little 'friendly' chat with his dear sickly club member. At the same time,  Babylus got reinforcements through the appearance in the firm of their headmaster Sullivan. However, one after the other, a certain cluster of demons left the momentarily safe school grounds despite Kalego stopping them in the process. They stepped up against their frowning and displeased teacher; Asmodeus, who was almost standing completely opposite of the notorious teacher (Clara and Purson next to him), didn't show any signs of obeying Kalego's demand of turning around.

Asmodeus got through as the rest of the class teamed up to keep the hunting dog-duo occupied. Asmodeus flew toward the headmaster's mansion, worried over Iruma when he paled drastically at the first sightings of the mansion. A toxic-coloured, powerful barrier surrounded it.

It would be a good sign.. If there hadn't been a circular machine punching a hole through it and smoke and fire coming from it. He saw Opera jump outside the mansion through a broke wall as he was soon joined by two others. All 3 of them were fighting with the parties having different degrees of injuries on them.

Opera, who saw Asmodeus flying in the air, used his chance to ask the Alice-heir to check/help Iruma.  Asmodeus zoomed of, so fast you would think a dragon was after him. As soon as he saw his best friends bedroom window he dived, crashing right through the glass and seeing both blue heads.

One, lying in the bed as pale as a skeleton, while the other was standing eerily close to him.. sth an empty syringe. The blunette that was properly dressed greeted another member of his formerly associated school club before taking a coly exit. Asmodeus had attempted to attack him before he escaped, managing to do so to some extent...but that has been on purpose. As soon as Asmodeus saw the ring leader turn around and face him with a face showing his arousal and excitement, he knew, an unpleasant coldness spread over his back and his consciousness.

He flew back as 4 other fingers dissappeared - only one had remained.. Iruma, wuthering his jacket over his pyjama, had trugged over to his now destroyed window (Asmodeus had chased after Kirio - the leader - through it). Irumas dry blue eyes closed as his breaths got shorter, and his breathing slower.

When Asmodeus was back, there was nothing he could do. When Opera returned, Asmodeus had collapsed onto the cround tightly hugging a blue Jacket of Babylus. The secretary butlers lips curled as his eyes tightened, his tail lowered with his ears. When the headmaster, when Sullivan - Iruma's adoptive grandfather- was back, he only found three mourning demons and one lobe ring and jacket.

Iruma died during the war. Sullivan, completely enraged, decided to screw his morals, his calm demeanor, and stormed across the battlefield with the Strenght of a 9th rank. His fellow rankers, bowed their heads at his decision, they bowed in sympathy.. and acceptance.

In the end Sullivan became the next Maou with his friends becoming his advisors and step-ins. Their grandsons and the members of the misfit class were most shaken by Iruma's death, with Babylus's teachers being no exception to the mental shock sweeping over their close company. Asmodeus's mother couldn't get her son out of his room for months on end, however, Sullivan proposed to use the ring in a forbidden ritual. It was forbidden because not only was it dangerous for the caster, the medium, but also for the only targeted.

In the ideal outcome they would be able to summon his spirit over to them for some time, in the worst way.. The medium could be destroyed, one of them could lose their bloodline ability or magic (theoretically stripping them off more than one rank), or the targeted spirit could become corrupted and haunt after them as a wraith (the chances of this happening were uncertain as Iruma was a human).

Some of them, who didn't care for the consequences despite being demons..rumored for being  cunningly clever...decided to partake in the ritual held by the newest demon king.

It was uncertain how.. Or why.. but it had never once in history of Makai worked as successful as this time. Not only did Iruma appear before them once again, he could stay for longer (once a day) than they expected. And his spirit aged the more knowledge he got, his power increased the stronger the got. Iruma was the ghost King of makai, grandson of the demon king titled 'time ruler', and the leader of the serei.

*Serei (spirit/s), 'Se-rei': Demon's of the same rank as the 13 crowns, they ask attended the same class at Babylus and serve under the ghost king.. Now, and forevermore.
