Racoon On The Lose

After the whole fiasco that made the Wolf King Shiro fight against the villainous Cerberus, everyone had to get treated from the disastrous effects caused by the Nirvasyl Syndrome that made their territorial instincts run wild and turn the citizens into crazy animals. However, the antidote to this was Michiru's (and Nazuna's) blood which was used as the key ingredient to develop the cure. Despite Michiru's feeling over getting her blood taken she soon feels that the people around her are more focused on the efficiency of the Cute and getting everyone treated + developing reserves of it, that they completely disregard Michiru's own health over it.

Michiru's who has enough of it after hearing of it decided to take matters into her own hands.. Or paws and put her mind to a decision. This was to slit her wrist multiple times in secret after being outside of the lab where they took it to develop the cure. She stored it until she decided there was enough and left the lab one day leaving a note with a message and the locating where she put her stashed blood vials. She knew she would be found as soon as Shiro got the letter and went to find her scent, so she used the feet of the fastest animal she knew to get to the coast. Just as she arrived she proceeded to jump into the water headfirst like the sport person she is and managed to turn into a water creature.

She left Animacity and decided to explore the oceans for as long as she could, occasionally going on land as a dog or something in search of food. The people, especially the adults had lowered their heads in shame and guilt when they noticed just how they acted towards Michiru's. They had treated her like some kind of Lab rat, even Nazuna had distanced herself and just acted more on the sidelines like she unintentionally tried not to get her blood taken out of underlying fear of doctors and hospitals. Shiro was blaming himself so much that when he tried to find her and lost her trail at the harbor he howled at the open waters in Broad daylight.

It didn't end there as they all knew that it was very dangerous to
1) stress oneself after getting your blood taken multiple times in a row (this made them grimace as they didn't exactly stop taking her blood everyday for the cure).
2) wander outside as the human publics opinion might be changing but that is no reason to get careless and be near them. There is a chance of exposure after all.
As such they tried to get information where Michiru's was and get her to come back.. Home. Back to Animacity and to apologise for what they did to her.

While the publics opinion did change, and mostly for the better at that, a certain country (any suggestions?) felt threatened when they watched the fight between the - easily - 2m big canines who fought with some strange superpowers. Seeing Animacity they gathered their army and decided to do the world a favor and step up their game for the era of humans with no monstrosities in the way.
