Chapter 10

OCEAN POV.

I woke up sighing realizing I had to go back home today.

It was fun while it lasted. I made like 5 good new friends so I can actually call friends.

I'm honestly not mad about it because I really miss Kalen. Me and him talked a lot of much needed shit out and we on good terms now. I'm better now and I'm hoping we can make this shit work.

"You ready ocean?" My auntie said coming into the room.

"Yeah I'm ready let me grab my bag" I said grabbing my duffle bag as I slid my crocs on and came downstairs seeing tori.

"Hey tori" I said taking my duffle bag to the car.

"Hey hey" she said as she got in the passenger seat and I got in the back.

I put my headphones in looking down at my phone as I texted Kalen.

Me: can I come over when I get back?
Kalen: yeah you can I'll leave my door unlocked just text me.
Me: ok, I miss you so much.
Kalen: I miss you too.

KALEN POV.

I smiled down at my phone as I texted ocean.

I would never let her see me simping over her but I finally felt like shit was going good in my life.

Everyone knows good DOESNT last forever but for now I was just chilling.

I got an incoming call from my uncle making me pick it up.

"Yo nephew , come down to the trap we need you real quick" he said making me suck my teeth.

"Man how long this gon take I got someone coming over? " I asked getting annoyed.

"Nigga get your ass down here" he said hanging up making me pull out my phone.

Me: don't come here right away go home imma come get you I got Sum I gotta handle.
Ocean: ok.
Me: you better not have no attitude. When I get you I gotta tell you something.
Ocean: ok

I put my phone in my pocket as I got up and made my way to the trap.

at the trap...

I walked in the door being greeted by the guards as I nodded at them.

"Wasup unc" I said coming in his office as sat down twirling in a seat.

"I need you to take care of something for me" he said making me nod.

I knew what take care meant in this place and I was used to it.

"Ight what it is?" I said spinning to face him.

"I know you know a nigga named Calvin , he's in another gang that we have a rivalry with and imma need you to kill him" he said making me smirk.

Call me evil but I'm not the same Kalen I used to be.

"Ight , it's done I already don't fuck with that nigga so it's perfect for me" I said standing up.

"Ight thank you nephew" he said dapping me up.

OCEAN POV

I came in my apartment noticing my dad sitting down on the couch with some lady.

"Hey ocean how was it?" He asked smiling with a glass of wine in his hand.

"It was fine , Whos this ?" I asked curiously.

"Well this is my girlfriend Jessica, she's moving in with us." He said causing me to put my phone down.

"Wait huh- how come you didn't tell me sooner" I said realizing he was putting on a front for this girl.

"He don't have to tell you shit" Jessica said causing me to look at her.

"You're lucky I'm almost 18 man , can't wait to get the fuck out of here" I said under my breath going to my room.

Me:hey Kalen can you hurry I'm ready to leave this house.
Kalen: yeah I'm pulling up come outside.

Once I got that text I zoomed out in the living room as they stared at me.

"Where are you going?" My dad asked as I opened the door and slammed it running to Kalens car.

I didn't waste any time climbing over to the drivers seat as I sat facing him , hugging him tightly.

"I missed you" I said smelling him as he held me tightly.

"I missed you too, you hungry?" He asked as I sat back in the passenger seat.

"Yeah" I said tugging on his belt as he moved my hand.

"Chillll" he said laughing.

"No but seriously , I could eat"

"Ight bet" he said driving off as I turned the radio up.

We rode in a comfortable silence as we pulled up to McDonald's.

"Get me a medium fry and a 10 piece nugget please" I said as he pulled in the drive through and told them what we wanted.

We drove back to his house , ate and now we were laid up on his bed watching a movie.

He paused it causing me to sit up.

"Yo sit up real quick I gotta tell you something" he said making me nervous.

KALEN POV

I was nervous as hell I didn't know how she was going to react.

"I'm in a gang Ocean , that's why I've been acting so different and shit" I said as her mouth hung open.

"Kalen stop playing" she said laughing.

"I'm not playing" I said looking at her.

"Do you know how dangerous that is kalen you're playing with life right now" she said.

"Nah I'm not I'm good trust me" I said kissing her neck so she could get her mind off of this.

"Stop kalen be serious for once please" she said grabbing my hand.

"Please be safe kalen I can't lose you" she said almost crying.

"You're not going to just chill out" I said as I pulled her on top of me kissing her some more.

Now I had to be extra careful cause she was always going to be on my ass.

"So your birthday coming up soon what you wanna do" I said looking at her.

"I just wanna be with you" she said as she laid her head on my chest.

"You don't want a party or nothing" I said laughing a little.

"Now you know me and parties just don't mix" she said causing me to nod.

I could agree with that but it doesn't mean I wasn't going to throw her a party.

"Yeah I know" I said rubbing her back.

"You ready to go back to school tomorrow" I asked.

"Nah I fucking hate school" she said laughing.

"Yeah me too , we should run away or something" I said joking .

"That's not a bad idea... we should" she said catching me off guard,

"Yo shut your crazy ass up I was joking" I said laughing.

"No but I'm serious let's go somewhere like Hawaii or Bali , I'm tryna get flewed out for my birthday" she said joking.

"Maybe I'll see" I said smiling , she just gave me a good idea.
