I yawned as I woke up to my Alexa telling me it was time get up.

I went in my bathroom as I clapped on the lights and looked at myself.

Insecure was an understatement.

Even though my parents were together and my life seemed perfect, it was far from it.

I never had anyone there to tell me I was handsome or to teach me how to shave or how to do any of that.

They give me materialistic things to cover up the fact that they don't show me any love.

I sighed as I clapped the lights off and went downstairs , hearing my mom and dad talking about their stocks.

"Son" my dad said nodding at me as I grabbed some orange juice out of the fridge.

I didn't even say anything back cause that wasn't a real goodmorning.

"Do you hear your father talking to you Kalen" my mother asked sternly.

I just nodded "goodmorning" I said walking away.

Besides the fact I was insecure to put the cherry on top I was quiet so I rarely defended myself.

Everyone at school noticed it and they made sure to make my life a hell.

I did have one friend though and that was my little sister.

She was only a couple years younger than me but she acted older probably because she was a lot more vocal.

Especially at school, when we were at school she shined.

"You ready to go?" I asked coming into her room.

"Yeah let me grab my bag" she said grabbing her bag and lipgloss as I walked out.

I grabbed my backpack and my keys to Mercedes Benz and made my way to the garage.

we got in the car and made our journey to our private school.

"You got a game today?" I asked my sister , mia.

"Yeah I do, you coming?" She asked eating her little bites.

"Don't I always?" I asked trying not to be sarcastic realizing it might have came off that way.

"Nigga since when you get so bold" she said laughing as I laughed a little too.

We pulled up to the school and she hurried and got out before me grabbing her duffle bag.

"Bye kalen love you" she said hurrying off to catch up with her friends.

Of course I took my time because— well I didn't have any friends.

I grab my backpack and headed inside the school , letting the infested air hit me as I almost gagged walking in.
